GIRLS SOCCER

Carteret 3, South River 2 (2OT): Kimberly Brites scored the game-winner on a direct kick in the second overtime to lead Carteret (4-1). Brites finished with one goal and two assists. Amanda Medvetz and Tichelle Merricks also scored. Angie Cedone made nine saves. Lauren Schmidt and Jennie Szabo scored for South River (3-3). Tori Pinto made 10 saves. 

Gill St. Bernard's 3, North Plainfield 1: Caroline Solondz finished with one goal and one assist for Gill St. Bernard's (4-1). Amelia Kirby and Catelyn Woelfle also scored. Amanda Lazar added one assist. For North Plainfield (0-3), Ashley Atubi scored. Jenna Guevara and Destine Alarcon combined for nine saves. 

Highland Park 7, South Amboy 1: Bailey Nester recorded a hat trick as Highland Park improved to 5-0. Elizabeth Girvan tallied two goals and one assist. Katie Volpert added one goal and one assist. Yasmine Lekhal also scored. Rebecca Ochan, Sydney Beberman and Gabriela Sanchez each had one assist. Elizabeth Hardy made nine saves. For South Amboy (1-3), Alexa Noon scored on an assist from Nadia Barcheski. Sarah Knapik made 10 saves. 

Metuchen 7, Woodbridge 0: Mya Stolarski finished with four goals and one assist as Metuchen improved to 5-0. Rory Josell recorded two goals and one assist. Skye Nowicki also scored. Kerri Farrell tallied two assists. Julianna Mullen recorded one assist and five saves. 

J.P. Stevens 3, Dayton 1: Ava Dul and Mikhayla Sabo each recorded one goal and one assist for J.P. Stevens (2-4). Katelyn Clemens also scored. Serena Zilli added one assist. Sarah Zimmer made nine saves. 

BOYS SOCCER

Manville 7, Henry Hudson 0: Tomas Hernandez led Manville (3-1) with two goals and two assists. Isaac Alfaro and Justin Bryla each finished with two goals and one assist. Eric Sinchi also scored. Donte East and Marco Ortiz each tallied one assist. 

Woodbridge 4, Spotswood 3 (OT): Peter Flomo scored the game-winner in the eighth minute of overtime to pace Woodbridge (4-2). Andrew Fuentes scored twice and Melvin Gutierrez Alvarado also scored. Jayson Morgado made six saves. For Spotswood (3-4), Andrew Oross scored twice. Yanni Hatzistefanis also scored. Jordan Church, Chris Moran and Tharney Luke each recorded one assist. Andrew Bishara and Matt Evanego combined for eight saves. 

Piscataway Tech 3, South Amboy 2: Jordan Simpson finished with two goals and one assist for Piscataway Tech (4-1). Eliazar Concul also scored. Daniel Scavino tallied two assists. Bryan Pena led South Amboy (5-2) with one goal and one assist. Daniel Pena also scored and Lance Pierce made four saves. 

Edison Academy 5, Perth Amboy Tech 1: Aditya Jain recorded a hat trick for Edison Academy (2-4). Zarir Hamza and Abhishek Patel also scored. Jeffrey Fung, Anthony Autera, Sohum Pohane and Sibhithirumeni Ramadoss each had one assist. Kunal Adhia made six saves. Dante Borselino scored on an assist from Daniel Piri for Perth Amboy Tech (0-5). Edisamir Caraballo made 25 saves. 

South River 4, Middlesex 1: Kyle Santos scored twice for South River (4-2). Eber Lucas tallied one goal and one assist. Phillipe Quieroz also scored. Brandon Santos and Erick Lucas each added one assist. Brian Garcia made eight saves. For Middlesex (2-4), Bryan Velasquez scored and Chris Cuadros made 11 saves. 

FIELD HOCKEY

Piscataway 4, Monroe 1: Dominique Nelson scored twice to pace Piscataway (1-5). Amber Tuck also scored. Amanda Lopez added two assists. Nadya Khan made 10 saves. For Monroe (4-3), Abigail Viola scored and Brittany Barbuto made seven saves. 

Pingry 4, Ridge 3: Josie Jang recorded a hat trick and one assist for Pingry (2-3). Lizzie Gilfillan tallied one goal and one assist. Myla Stovall had one assist. 

Metuchen 2, East Brunswick 1: Sarah Jenney scored on an assist from Maeve Kenny with 7:33 left in the game to power Metuchen (5-1). Diana Mishrahi also scored on an assist by Emily Glutz. Kamryn Chaudry made six saves. For East Brunswick (3-3), Morgan Brody scored on assist by Mariah DiPierno. Kayla Silva made 11 saves. 

Delaware Valley 2, Lawrence 1: Kristen Bill and Kaleigh Higgins scored to lead Delaware Valley (5-0). Madeline Bill and Kelsey O'Connor each tallied one assist. Ellis Stanton made four saves. 

South Plainfield 2, Old Bridge 0: Lauren Calvey scored twice as South Plainfield improved to 6-0. Lynda Farinella and Megan Russo each finished with one assist. Tatianna Sutor made five saves. Emma Bennett and Paulina Piekarewicz combined for 11 saves for Old Bridge (4-3).
