FIELD HOCKEY

Metuchen 3, Piscataway 1: Emily Glutz, Diana Misrahi and Sophia Caposino all scored for Metuchen (9-1-1). Maeve Kenny finished with two assists and Amelia Lorenzo had one assist. Kamryn Chaudry made one save. For Piscataway (3-8), Dominique Nelson scored and Nadya Khan made six saves. 

South Plainfield 4, Monroe 1: Lauren Calvey scored twice for South Plainfield (9-2-2). Haley Olsen and Michelle Pastuna also scored. Lauren Zultowski contributed two assists. Lynda Farinella and Jennifer Grasso each had one assist. Tatianna Sutor made 12 saves. For Monroe (5-7), Brooke Weringer scored on an assist from Abigail Viola. Brittany Barbuto and Victoria De Araujo combined for 16 saves. 

Bernards 5, Franklin 0: Lily Simon led Bernards (10-1-1) with a hat trick. Harley Rosenzweig finished with one goal and one assist. Bianca Pineda also scored. Meghen Hengerer added two assists. Sarah Iaione had one assist and Missy Connolly made two saves. Tara Weniger made 12 saves for Franklin (3-6-1). 

East Brunswick 2, Sayreville 0: Madison Stout finished with one goal and one assist for Sayreville (6-4-1). Kayla Reardon also scored. Mariah DiPierno had one assist and Kayla Silva made two saves. Megan Polomene made seven saves for Sayreville (0-9).

BOYS SOCCER

Watchung Hills 2, Union City 1: Michael Tobin finished with one goal and one assist for Watchung Hills (4-3-1). Shaun Cagnetta also scored. Michael Kinsella had one assist. Tim Scanlon and Liam Scanlon combined for nine saves. 

East Brunswick Tech 3, Woodbridge Academy 2 (OT): Zach Chrobocinski led East Brunswick Tech (6-6) with two goals and one assist. Dennis Noon also scored. Jonathan Dela Rosa added two assists and Jayson Vassallo made seven saves. Sanjit Menon and Shivam Patel scored for Woodbridge Academy (2-8-1). Nikhil Azhagiri had one assist. Alijah Vanterpool made eight saves. 

Timothy Christian 2, Piscataway Tech 1: Jordan Gottshall scored both goals for Timothy Christian (10-1-1), with the game-winner coming with nine minutes into the second half. Joshua Koshy and Joshua Matthew each had assists. Robert Saydee finished with five saves. For Piscataway Tech (7-4-1), Adrian Garcia scored on an assist from Jordan Simpson. Daniel Peacock made seven saves.

South River 0, Highland Park 0: Brian Garcia made 14 saves for South River (6-4-1). Elan Isaacson made 11 saves for Highland Park (10-0-1). 

Spotswood 3, Middlesex 1: Chris Moran scored twice to pace Spotswood (9-5). Andrew Oross also scored. Yanni Hatzistefanis and Luke Tharney each added assists. Andrew Bishara made seven saves. For Middlesex (5-8), Diego Ortiz scored on an assist from Rhys Lee. Chris Cuadros made seven saves. 

South Amboy 4, Perth Amboy Tech 3: Bryan Pena led South Amboy (9-4) with two goals. Daniel Pena also scored. Jake Szatkowski and Brendan Soper each had one assist. Lance Pierce made five saves. For Perth Amboy Tech (0-9-1), Eddie Machuca scored twice. Diego Robles also scored. Daniel Piri and Hannah Cotayo each added assists. Edisamir Caraballo made 22 saves. 

Somerset Tech 7, Warren Tech 1: Sonia Purohit led Somerset Tech (4-6) with four goals. Molly Foster recorded one goal and three assists. Kate Kelly and Sarah Sconda also scored. Jenna Molfetta added one assist. Liliana Gomez and Sarah Yagual combined for four saves. 

Oak Knoll 2, Rahway 0: Sophia Coulson finished with 25 saves for Rahway (1-11).

GIRLS SOCCER

J.F. Kennedy 1, Carteret 0: Emily Alexander scored on an assist from Sadie Sosa to lead J.F. Kennedy (3-10). Jaylin Cabrera made nine saves. Angie Cedeno made six saves for Carteret (6-6). 

South River 7, South Amboy 0: Camila Lucas, Lauren Schmidt and Khayla Smith all scored twice for South River (7-5). Julianna Gill added one goal and one assist. Sophia DiGiovanni contributed two assists. Tori Pinto made two saves. Sarah Knapik finished with 16 saves for South Amboy (1-10). 

Highland Park 5, Timothy Christian 0: Rebecca Ochan led Highland Park (11-0) with two goals. Julia Marks recorded one goal and two assists. Elizabeth Girvan tallied one goal and one assist. Eve Schoeffler also scored. Katie Volpert added two assists and Elizabeth Hardy made five saves. For Timothy Christian (4-5), Elizabeth Oduro made 15 saves.
