Field Hockey: Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament bracket

The Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Field Hockey Tournament bracket was seeded on Thursday morning, and defending champion Hunterdon Central earned the No. 5 seed. 

Hackettstown was given the No. 1 seed, while Delaware Valley was named the No. 2 seed. Both teams earn a double-bye into the quarterfinals.

The third seed went to Warren Hills and Wallkill Valley is the fourth seed. Voorhees was given the sixth seed. The top 10 seeds all earn a bye into the second round. 

Last year, Hunterdon Central won its first title since 2003 with a 2-1 victory over Warren Hills, which has won four of the past six titles. 

The first round will be held Saturday, while the second round needs to be completed by Thursday, Sept. 28. The quarterfinals will be Oct. 7 and the semifinals are scheduled for Oct. 14. The final will be played at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Hackettstown.

9-Belvidere at 8-Newton, winner at 1-Hackettstown

16-South Hunterdon at 13-North Warren, winner at 4-Wallkill Valley

17-North Hunterdon at 12-Pope John, winner at 5-Hunterdon Central

18-Kittatinny at 11-High Point, winner at 6-Voorhees

15-Sparta at 14-Lenape Valley, winner at 3-Warren Hills

10-Vernon at 7-Phillipsburg, winner at 2-Delaware Valley
