Girls Soccer: Bridgewater-Raritan is No. 1 seed in SCT

The Bridgewater-Raritan High School girls soccer team was awarded the top seed in the Somerset County Tournament on Wednesday night. 

Bridgewater-Raritan is currently undefeated at 7-0. Last season, the Panthers fell to sixth-seeded Mount St. Mary 2-0 in the quarterfinals as the No. 3 seed.

Ridge (4-1), a semifinalist last year, was named the No. 2 seed, reigning champion Watchung Hills (2-2-1) was given the third seed and Somerville (4-0-1) rounded out the top four, which received byes into the quarterfinals. 

The first round is scheduled to be completed this weekend, while the second round is set for Oct. 7. The quarterfinals are Oct. 14 and the semifinals are Oct. 21. The championship game will be part of a double-header with the boys final at noon on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Torpey Field in Bridgewater.
