GMC/HNT Girls Soccer Top 10

1. Old Bridge (6-0) Last week No. 1: With another victory against a Red Division foe in Piscataway in the books on Tuesday, the Knights still remain at the top of the division. Old Bridge has registered four shutouts in its first six games this season.

2. East Brunswick (5-2) Last week No. 2: The Bears followed a tough 1-0 loss to Bridgewater-Raritan on Saturday with a 4-0 drubbing of South Brunswick on Tuesday. Senior forward Sabria Glasgow leads the team with five goals.

3. Sayreville (5-0) Last week No. 7: The Bombers make a big leap up four spots with impressive victories over Edison and Colonia to remain undefeated. Sayreville boasts a balanced scoring attack with Jacqueline Ventricelli (seven goals) alongside Eliza David, Lauren Attardi and Ana Salgado, who have all scored five times.

4. Edison (6-1) - Last week No. 3: After a 5-3 loss to Sayreville on Saturday ended Edison's undefeated start, the Eagles rebounded with a 5-3 victory over North Brunswick. Freshman Samantha Moxie has been on fire thus far, scoring 15 goals in seven games. 

5. Piscataway (3-4) Last week No. 5: Still struggling to find some consistency, the Chiefs dropped a tough 2-1 overtime victory to first-place Old Bridge on Tuesday. The going doesn't get any easier for Piscataway with a matchup against East Brunswick slated for next week.

6. Monroe (3-3) Last week No. 6: The Falcons endured a tough week last week but were able to notched a 3-0 victory over J.P. Stevens on Tuesday. Monroe faces a tough Edison squad today at home starting at 3:45.

7. Colonia (5-2) Last week No. 8: The Patriots are officially back on the map after capturing a decisive 2-1 victory over Bishop Ahr on Tuesday. Colonia boasts one of the best goalies in the conference in senior Kelly Silva.

8. Bishop Ahr (2-3) Last week No. 4: The Trojans have lost three of their last four games and are struggling to find their identity but should be able to right the ship soon with a very talented roster. 

9. Metuchen (5-0) Last week No. 9: The Bulldogs grabbed possession of first place in the Blue Division with a 2-0 victory over Spotswood on Friday. Metuchen has outscored its opponents 21-1 thus far this season.

10 Highland Park (6-0) Last week No. 10: A big 4-3 victory over Middlesex on Tuesday showed that the Owls can keep up with quality teams outside their division. Highland Park has gotten scoring from all around the team with four girls scoring at least five goals.
