GMC Football: Balanced efforts lifts South Brunswick

Unlike last week, when two players accounted for the bulk of South Brunswick’s scoring, the Vikings had a more balanced offensive effort in a 35-7 victory over New Brunswick on Friday night.

Thomas Joe-Kamara scored twice for South Brunswick (2-0), while teammates Felix Quinones, Jayvon Palmer and Dylan Kriz also reached the end zone.

South Brunswick amassed 350 yards of total offense. Kamara scored on runs of 19 and 4 yards. Quinones scored on a 28-yard run, Palmer scored on a 20-yard run and Kriz scored on a 5-yard run.

Quinones led all rushers with 123 yards on 12 carries. Lawson had seven carries for 82 yards. Kriz had seven carries for 41 yards.

Dylan Johnson had 11 carries for 53 yards in a losing effort. Backfield mate Dahzey Hicks had six carries for 38 yards. His 25-yard touchdown run accounted for New Brunswick’s only points.

The Zebras fell to 0-2.
