BOYS SOCCER

Carteret 3, North Brunswick 0: Jefferson Sanchez scored twice as Carteret (2-2) dealt North Brunswick (4-1) its first loss of the season. Nicolas Gaffafo also scored. Justin Gallardo added two assists. Sahil Brar had one assist and Foti Xadia made seven saves for the shutout.

Gill St. Bernard's 2, Somerville 1 (2OT): John Baber scored the game-winning goal in double overtime on an assist by Jordan Canica to lead Gill St. Bernard's (1-2-1). Andrew Moglianesi also scored, assisted by Andrew Amaro and Cody Torgovnik. Alex Roch and Mitch Fishbein combined for five saves. For Somerville (3-1), Jose Luis Carrasco scored. Julian Franco made eight saves.

South Hunterdon 2, Bound Brook 1 (2 OT): Patrick Reilly and Mike Skrebel scored to lead South Hunterdon (1-1-1). Davon Garvey added one assist. Cameron Paventi finished with 22 saves. Myke Melo scored on a penalty kick for Bound Brook (1-2), and Obrian Arias made eight saves. 

Edison 2, South Plainfield 0: Benito Rojas and Logan Kurdes scored to lift Edison (3-1). Ahmed Ali and Jason Salazar each had one assist. Mike Quest made five saves for the shutout. Bryan Cruz and Jake Jones combined for seven saves for South Plainfield (1-3).

Hillsborough 4, Phillipsburg 3 (OT): Justin Dominique scored twice as Hillsborough (1-3) won its first game of the season. Zurab Bedoshvili tallied one goal and one assist. Simon Angelo also scored. Kyle Bogado, Nick Bogado and Michael Fazio each had one assist. Nick Burd and John Renz combined for 10 saves. 

New Providence 2, Brearley 1: Shane Mahlstadt and Chris Kang scored to lift New Providence (2-1). Brendan Regan and Sebastian Everton each added one assist. Dillon Konzelmann made four saves. 

Woodbridge 2, J.F. Kennedy 1: Andrew Fuentes scored twice for Woodbridge (2-2). Sean Estoque and Khalid Mamman each had one assist. Marcos Piastre finished with six saves. Eder Mendez scored for J.F. Kennedy (0-3). Alex Obertan made seven saves. 

Timothy Christian 2, Piscataway Tech 1: Joshua Koshy and Joshua Matthew both scored as Timothy Christian improved to 4-0. Samuel Solorzano had one assist. Robert Saydee made seven saves. For Piscataway Tech (3-1), Jordan Simpson scored his eighth goal of the season on an assist by Tony Ramirez. Daniel Peacock made three saves. 

Plainfield 2, Linden 1 (2OT): Narvis Bent scored twice, including the game-winner in double overtime, to lead Plainfield (2-1). Gerson Ixcuna and Jayson Ramirez each had one assist. Milton Moreno made three saves. Alex Tarnawski scored for Linden (1-2). Patrick Moskal made eight saves. 

Sayreville 3, Colonia 1: Frankie Astarita led Sayreville (2-1) with one goal and one assist. Tyler Barreiro and Alex Meza-Navarro also scored. Dylan Clerigo and Zachary Colgan each chipped in one assist. Brian Marra made eight saves. Carlos Goncalves scored for Colonia (1-3) and Dan Sosiak finished with six saves. 

Manville 2, Belvidere 1: Brandon Vigueras and Isaac Alfaro each scored in the second half as Manville come from behind for the victory. 

Hillside 4, Rahway 2: Jakub Luczynski and Brandon Anorve scored for Rahway (2-1). Roberto Ortiz added one assist. Oscar Ortiz made five saves. 

East Brunswick 2, Perth Amboy 0: Corrado Carbone led East Brunswick (3-2) with one goal and one assist. Will Schaff also scored. Ivan Loncar had one assist. Lucas Espada made four saves. William Hernandez made 10 saves for Perth Amboy (0-4). 

Bridgewater-Raritan 3, North Hunterdon 1: Dom Demcak finished with one goal and one assist for Bridgewater-Raritan (5-0). Sean Masur and Anthony Cabrera also scored. Calum Erlenborn made eight saves. Dominick Rusillo scored for North Hunterdon (1-3) on an assist by Rory Temple. Nick Fetten and Joe Vitovich combined for eight saves.

Mount St. Mary 5, Delaware Valley 0: Emma Bedell scored twice for Mount St. Mary (3-1) as coach Phil Iuliano won his 50th career game. Katherine Sartor, Emma Gagliano and Alaina Parisella also scored. Elizabeth Cappucci and Sabrina Dilorio each had one assist. Michaela Walsh made two saves. For Delaware Valley (1-3), Brianna Schnieder finished with 10 saves.

North Brunswick 5, New Brunswick 2: Sam Persaud and Arianna Mattis each scored twice to pace North Brunswick (2-2). Xaria La'Mar recorded one goal and one assist. Cassie Oake finished with 12 saves. For New Brunswick (0-4), Abigail Luengas scored twice and Ashley Garcia made 17 saves. 

Ridge 4, Montgomery 0: Erin Keefe led Ridge (2-1) with one goal and one assist. Caitlyn Laffey, Katie Arrigan and Caroline Mohan also scored. Emma Wightman and Samantha Weyrauch each had one assist. Allison Walsh made three saves for Montgomery (0-4). 

Woodbridge 1, Bishop Ahr 0: Gabby D'Emilio scored for Woodbridge (1-3) on an assist by Jessica Carvalho. Vanessa Morgan made three saves. Sachi Negri made four saves for Bihsop Ahr (1-2). 

Old Bridge 5, J.P. Stevens 0: Nichole Adams recorded a hat trick as Old Bridge improved to 4-0. Mackenzie Willis finished with one goal and two assists. Dominique Lovallo also scored. Joelle Taranto, Sierra Stevenson and Mackenzie Cangro each had one assist. Lauren Farkas made six saves. Sarah Zimmer made 20 saves for J.P. Stevens (1-4). 

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 4, Gov. Livingston 0: Erika Muskus led Scotch Plains-Fanwood (3-1) with two goals and one assist. Corrinne Lyght recorded one goal and two assists. Danielle Mrozek also scored. Katie Mrozek added two assists. Maya Kessler had six saves. Michelle Coyle and Sarah Foy combined for nine saves for Governor Livingston (1-3).

South Hunterdon 7, Bound Brook 0: Olivia Romano and Rylee Bordwick each scored twice for South Hunterdon (2-1). Allie Magas, Eve Voorhees and Charlotte Smith also scored. Halie Hicks and Sophia Andreoli combined for the shutout. Sophie Hector made 25 saves for Bound Brook (0-3). 

Westfield 2, Union Catholic 0: Ashley Gigon and Katie Butler scored as Westfield improved to 3-0. Grace Elliott had one assist. For Union Catholic (1-2), Izzy DiDario made 15 saves. 

Plainfield 4, Benedictine 0: Stephanie Pantaleon and Kiara Rosa each scored twice for Plainfield (2-1). Jacqueline Camacho added two assists. Angel Branch finished with seven saves. 

Bernards 3, Voorhees 1: Ella Bogdan scored twice and Elizabeth Coury finished with three assists to pace Bernards (3-1). Makenna Davis also scored. Jenna Whelan and Susan Oberschmidt combined for 12 saves. 

Hillsborough 3, Phillipsburg 1: Carmeron Howell led Hillsborough (2-2) with one goal and one assist. Alanna Ryan and Shelsea Rigby also scored. Ava Curtis had one assist and Olivia Bandola finished with four saves. 

Gill St. Bernard's 2, Rutgers Prep 1: Amelia Kirby and Hayley Goldin each scored in the second half for Gill St. Bernard's (3-1). Emily Raia added one assist. For Rutgers Prep (3-1), Isabella Pellecchia scored on an assist from Micah Livingston. 

East Brunswick 3, Monroe 0: Madison Mandleur scored twice for East Brunswick (4-1). Sabria Glasgow also scored. Lauren Krinsky made seven saves. 

Edison 8, Perth Amboy 0: Samantha Moxie recorded a hat trick and Gabby Moreno scored twice to power undefeated Edison (5-0). Hailey Verdicchio added one goal and one assist. Grace De Arujao and Tayla O'Brien also scored. Monica Roca chipped in four assists. Kendra Candido and Briana Reyes combined for seven saves. Danya Reynoso made 18 saves for Perth Amboy (0-3).

Piscataway 4, South Brunswick 1: Isabella Caracta led Piscataway (3-2) with one goal and one assist. Sofia Williams, Kaitlyn Zeeb and Michelle Williams also scored. Dana Ogilvie made seven saves. For South Brunswick (1-4), Madison Butler scored on an assist by Cathlene Kaseta. Angela Miele made six saves.

South Plainfield 2, Monroe 0: Jennifer Grasso and Lauren Zultowski both scored as South Plainfield improved to 5-0. Quinn Milane and Erica Cieszkiewicz each had one assist. Tatianna Sutor made 14 saves. For Monroe (4-1), Brittany Barbuto made 15 saves. 

Voorhees 5, Hillsborough 1: Cassie Boyce scored twice to lift Voorhees (4-1). Erin Shaw, Lily Folsom and Brooke Hyland also scored. Courtney Wellet made eight saves. For Hillsborough (1-3), Payton Altman scored and Macy Brandwein made 18 saves. 

Delaware Valley 5, Franklin 1: Megan Donnelly led Delaware Valley (4-0) with two goals and one assist. Madeline Bill recorded one goal and two assists. Kaleigh Higgins and Kristen Bill also scored. Sarah Babcock added two assists and Ellis Stanton made 27 saves. ReYana McFarlane scored on an assist from Samantha Davis for Franklin (0-3). Tara Weniger made 46 saves. 

Ridge 2, Watchung Hills 0: Noor Kaur finished with one goal and one assist for Ridge (2-3). Sydney Mahon also scored. Bridget Doherty and Nicole Roberts combined for nine saves. 

East Brunswick 3, Sayreville 0: Madison Stout, Kayla Reardon and Deidre Otoo all scored for East Brunswick (2-2). Kayla Silva recorded five saves for the shutout. Megan Polomene made 16 saves for Sayreville (0-4). 

Bernards 5, Somerville 0: Lilly Hengerer led Bernards (4-1) with two goals and one assist. Meghen Hengerer scored twice and Lily Simon added a goal. Missy Connolly made two saves. Gianna Duddy made 16 saves for Somerville (1-3).
