GIRLS SOCCER

Metuchen 6, South Plainfield 0: Mya Stolarski scored four times and added an assist to lead Metuchen (3-0). Sophie Lipshutz and Drew Schuchman added goals, while Rory Josell, Molly Walters and Christine Laskowski had assists. Brianna Slover had five saves for South Plainfield (0-4).

Highland Park 6, South River 2: Anna St Martin had two goals as Highland Park scored five times in the second half to break open a 1-1 tie at halftime. Also scoring for the Owls (3-0), were Bailey Nester, Rebecca Ochan (one assist), Julia Marks (one assist) and Yasmine Lekhal. Elizabeth Hardy recorded eight saves, while Katie Volpert and Elizabeth Girvan had assists. For South River (1-2), Lauren Schmidt and Alejandra Morales scored goals, and Tori Pinto made nine saves.

Spotswood 2, Middlesex 1 (OT): Carolina Fernandez scored off a cross from Alexa Reilly six minutes into overtime to give Spotswood the win. Spotswood (4-0) took a 1-0 lead when Amber Meagher scored 10 minutes into the game after a pass from Reilly. The Chargers' Megan McCook recorded 10 saves. For Middlesex (1-2), Angele Garcia scored off a pass from Alex Carmona with nine minutes left in regulation, and Star Castillo made nine saves.

Dunellen 2, Carteret 1: Erika Orellana's goal in the 62nd minute gave Dunellen the win. Jenthel Reyes also scored for the Destroyers off a feed from Rebekah Santiago in the first half. Kimberly Brites scored for Carteret early in the second half.  

Timothy Christian 3, Mother Seton 0: Sierra Thomas, Hannah Stuhl and Lyndsey Saint-Jean each scored goals to lead Timothy Christian (1-2). Lily Duane had 10 saves for Mother Seton (0-5).

Wardlaw-Hartridge 5, J.F. Kennedy 0: Mia Reyes scored two goals, while freshman Bella Wysocki added a goal and two assists for Wardlaw-Hartridge (2-2). Additionally, Alex DeSousa and Priya Golding each had a goal and an assist. For J.F. Kennedy (0-3), Jaylin Cabrera made 18 saves.

BOYS SOCCER

South River 1, Spotswood 0: Kyle Santos scored in the 17th minute to lift the Rams. Brian Garcia goalie made six saves in the win.

Metuchen 3, Middlesex 1: Jack Bradley (an assist), Marco Spasiano and Justin Wentnick scored for Metuchen (3-2). Evan Derector and Trent Leaf added assists.

Timothy Christian 2, Woodbridge Academy 0: Josh Koshy and Danny Wang scored goals for Timothy Christian (3-0). Jordan Gottshall and Sam Solórzano had assists, while Robert Saydee made two saves for his third shutout of the season. For Woodbridge Academy (0-4), Alijah Vanterpool recorded 12 saves.

FIELD HOCKEY

Metuchen 7, Piscataway 2: Maeve Kenny scored four goals to lift Metuchen (3-1). Hannah Silverman, Sarah Jeney and Lauren Hausser had assists for the Bulldogs. For Piscataway (0-4), Dominique Nelson and Kiamira Brunson each scored, while Nadya Khan had 12 saves.

Montgomery 2, Phillipsburg 0
