The Spotswood High School football team’s defense broke up a pass in the end zone on fourth down to preserve a 28-22 road victory over Point Pleasant Beach on Friday night.

Shea Obado and Chance Fee each had two touchdown runs for the Chargers, who evened their record at 3-3 with their third straight win.

Spotswood scored on its first possession of the second half to snap a 14-14 deadlock.

The Chargers made two goal-line stands and received sacks from Eddie Rogers, Jesse Sowell and Nick Vincelli.

Michael Leroy, Justin Rodriguez and Obado were all instrumental in the victory-sealing pass breakup.
