BOYS SOCCER

North Hunterdon 2, Pingry 1: Gabe Volpe and David Moreira scored for North Hunterdon (5-6). Edward Acosta had one assist and Nick Fetten made three saves. For Pingry (7-4-1), Alexy Alin-Hvidsten scored on an assist from Aidan Gaynor. Owen Wolfson made five saves. 

Hillsborough 3, Watchung Hills 1: Nathan Ambrogio, John Gadaleta and Kyle Bogado each scored for Hillsborough (5-6). Zurab Bedoshvili and Nick Bogado had assists, while Nick Burd made five saves.

North Plainfield 1, Rutgers Prep 0: Brandon Diaz scored the game winner off a corner kick. For North Plainfield (4-4-2). Edgar Castaneda and Danny Gonzales each had three saves in the shutout. Cameron Burton had nine saves for Rutgers Prep (2-9).

New Providence 5, Oratory 4: Brendan Regan, Matt Byrnes, Chris Kang, Shane Mahlstadt and James Miller each scored for New Providence (9-2). Dillon Konzelamann had nine saves in the win. 

Westfield 3, Union 0: Tate Kronick, Lee Beauchamp (an assist) and Henry Schwartz each scored goals for Westfield (10-1-1). Brian Hinkel added an assit and Josh Mendelson recorded three saves.

Hunterdon Central 2, Franklin 1: Aaron Baxter and Josh Bordwick each score a goal, while Andrew Colossi added an assist for Hunterdon Central (9-1). 

Monroe 4, Old Bridge 1: Matt Hoyt had two goals and two assists to lift Monroe (10-1-2), which scored four times in the second half. Brendan Deal (an assist) and Liam Craver added goals, while Nick Rios recorded three saves. For Old Bridge (7-6), Christian McCartney scored off a pass from Tyler Martins, and Cody Norton made nine saves.

Edison 4, Carteret 0: Ahmed Ali had a goal and two assists to lead a balanced effort from Edison (11-3). Also scoring goals were Jerome Boyer, Adrian Mazariegos and Isaiah Gonzalez, while Jason Salazar added an assist. Mike Quest made five saves in the shutout. 

South Plainfield 3, J.F. Kennedy 0: John Boyce, Ian McCoid (an assist) and Marc Giordano each scored in the first half to lead South Plainfield (5-8-1). Isaiah Storah and David Rovayo had assists, and Bryan Cruz made two saves.

Woodbridge 5, Sayreville 4: Peter Flomo scored twice for Woodbridge (7-7-1), which scored four times in the second half. Andrew Fuentes (assist), Cainan DaSilva and Ethan Figueroa also scored. Marcos Piastre had nine saves, and getting assists were Sean Estoque, Ethan Barroqueiro and Khalid Mamman. For Sayreville (9-4), Alex Meza-Navarro scored twice and Frankie Astarita had a goal and an assist. Alex Szpindor added a goal and Sebastian Cardoso had an assist.

North Brunswick 3, Colonia 2: DJ Cobb scored twice and Yvan Vertus had a goal for North Brunswick (11-1), while Chris Spataro had an assist.Timothy Meehan (assist) and Carlos Goncalves each scored for Colonia (2-12), while Dan Sosiak made seven saves.

Gill St. Bernard's 2, Bernards 1: Tyler Merna and Andrew Moglianesi each scored goals to lead fourth-seeded Gill St. Bernard's (6-4-1) to a win in the quarterfinals of the Somerset County Tournament. John Baber and Andrew Amarro each had assists, while Alexander Roch made eight saves. For fifth-seeded Bernards (5-4-1), Drini Zenelaj had a goal off a pass from Nico Arza and Andres Lezme made six saves. 

GIRLS SOCCER

Old Bridge 4, Middlesex 0: Nichole Adams (an assist), Joelle Taranto, Mackenzie Willis and Lauren Corless (an assist) each scored for Old Bridge (11-2). Nicole Cassano and Kaylee Quilban added assists, and goalies Cidney Lee-Sam and Lauren Farkas combined for the shutout. For Middlesex (6-6), Sarah Clark had eight saves.

South Brunswick 5, Perth Amboy 0: Jake Stump had the hat trick and South Brunswick got goals from Kyle Chang and Anuj Kothari. Dylan Inguardi had two assists, while  Justin Cross and Aryaman Tiwari combined for the shutout.

Colonia 2, North Brunswick 0: Amy Valencia and Rawan Soliman each scored and Julie Santos had six saves to lead Colonia (12-4). Cassie Oake had 13 saves for North Brunswick (4-10).

Edison 4, New Brunswick 1: Samantha Moxie and Gabby Moreno each scored two goals for Edison (11-4). Three different players had assists--Rachel Weber, Grace De Arujao and Hailey Verdicchio. Kendra Candido and Briana Reyes each two saves in the win. Abigail Luengas scored for New Brunswick (3-12) and Britney Medina had 13 assists.

Rutgers Prep 5, North Plainfield 0: Isabella Pellecchia had the hat trick and Amanda Aloia had two goals and an assist to lead Rutgers Prep (11-2). Macey Mento chipped in two assists and Taylor Williams had one. Emma Littman recorded seven saves for the shutout. 

South Amboy 3, Perth Amboy Tech 0: Jessica Henry, Lauren Breigle (assist) and Aryane Rodrigues each scored to lead South Amboy (2-12). Sarah Knapik recorded four saves in the win. Jazlyn Irizary had nine saves for Perth Amboy Tech (0-2).

North Hunterdon 2, Pingry 0: Alison Cafaro (an assist) and Alicia Giordano each scored for North Hunterdon (7-3), while Alex Macce had four saves. Simone Toney had 11 saves for Pingry (6-5-1).

Westfield 4, Union 2: Faith Dobosiewicz, Kylinn Kraemer (an assist), Katie Butler and Natalie Bond each scored as Westfield (12-0) remained undefeated. Grace Elliott and Ashley Gigon had assists, while Caitlin Amman made six saves. 

Bernards 2, Summit 1: Elizabeth Coury (an assist) and Lauren Bogdan each scored to lift Bernards (11-3). Makenna Davis added an assist and Susan Oberschmidt recorded 12 saves.  

Watchung Hills 3, Hillsborough 0: Kelly Fitzgerald scored the hat trick and Lindsay Wolf had two assists to lead Watchung Hills (6-3-1). Nicole Entrup (three saves) and Kaylee Donnelly (one save) combined for the shutout. For Hillsborough (3-8), Jillian Stanton had 11 saves.

Ridge 3, Phillipsburg 0: Erin Keefe scored twice for Ridge (8-3), while Maddy Lui and Kaitlyn Madden had assists.

Gov. Livingston 4, Union Catholic 0: Kaylee Vreeland, Emily (assist), Caroline Peer and Ashley Echeverry (assist) each scored a goal for Governor Livingston (5-5-1). Goalkeeper Michelle Coyle made two saves and had an assist, while Sarah Bachert added another assist. For Union Catholic (2-8-1), Izzy DiDario made six saves. 

Bishop Ahr 4, Perth Amboy 0: Emma Herban led Bishop Ahr (7-6) with two goals. Ryleigh Greenwald and Julianna Pastore also scored. Kelly Harmon finished with four saves. For Perth Amboy (1-13), Danya Reynoso made 18 saves. 

FIELD HOCKEY

Ridge 1, Montgomery 0: Sydney Mahon scored off an assist from Noor Kaur to lift Ridge (6-9). Nicole Roberts recorded 12 saves in the shutout. Colleen Hennessey had six saves for Montgomery (5-9).

Somerville 4, Mount St. Mary 0: Caroline Pollock had the hat trick and added an assist to lead Somerville (7-7). Kelly Waters also scored. For Mount St. Mary (3-8-1), Aubrie Hart made seven saves.

South Hunterdon 4, Franklin 0: Chandler Starcella had two goals and an assist for South Hunterdon (8-3). Franklin goalkeeper Tara Weniger recorded 21 saves and surpassed 500 for her career. 

Delaware Valley 2, Belvidere 1: Madeline Bill scored with six seconds left in overtime off an assist from Kelsey O'Connor to give Delaware Valley (12-1) the dramatic win. In the first half, O'Connor scored off a pass from Bill. Ellis Stanton had eight saves in the win. 

Hillsborough 5, North Hunterdon 0: Amanda Donnelly, Jena Myers, Tara Herterich, Allie Benadon (an assist) and Stephanie Wickman each scored for Hillsborough (5-7). Payton Altman had two assists and Lauren Alexander added one. Macy Brandwein had six saves in the win. For North Hunterdon (0-10), Caroline Petrie had 13 saves.

Bridgewater-Raritan 3, Montgomery 0: Allison Lowrey, Melanie Lytle and Abby Mason each scored for Bridgewater-Raritan (10-1). Elizabeth Hanemann and Samantha Vail added assists. Alison Walsh had nine saves for Montgomey (2-9-1).

Metuchen 2, East Brunswick 0: Sarah Jeney and Sophia Caposino each scored to give Metuchen the win. Kamryn Chaudry made two saves and Diana Misrahi added an assist for Metuchen (11-1-1). Kayla Silva recorded four saves for East Brunswick (7-5-1).

Sayreville 1, South Brunswick 0: Michelle Burda scored a goal for Sayreville (1-12) and Megan Polomene had 20 saves. Samantha Toma had four saves for South Brunswick (4-10).

Peddie 2, Monroe 1: Paige Gandy scored a goal for Monroe (8-6) off an assist from Julia Paskell. 

Voorhees 3, Hunterdon Central 1: Brooke Hyland and Sarah Matyas scored for Voorhees (10-4). Courtney Wellet made seven saves. Brittany Bill scored on an assist from Sammy Freeman for Hunterdon Central (9-4-1). Gabby Puskas made four saves.
