Golf: Pingry sweeps Somerset County Tournament

Pingry's Jake Mayer won the Somerset County Tournament individual title for the third-straight year on Monday.

The Pingry School's boys and girls golf teams swept the Somerset County Tournament, which was held Monday at the Neshanic Valley Golf Course.

On the girls side, junior Ami Gianchandani won the individual title, shooting a seven-under 65, and helped Pingry to the title with a team score of 320. Ridge's Anina Ku, who won the Red Devil Invitational last week, finished second with a two-under 70. Pingry's Christine Shao shot a 72 and finished third.

Ridge finished second with a score of 326, while Mount St. Mary was third with a 359.

Pingry's Jake Mayer won the individual title on the boys side for the third-straight year, shooting a 72. Montgomery's Andrew Kotler finished second with a 73 and Immaculata's Gavin Rau was third with a 76.

The Big Blue won the boys tournament as well, finishing ahead of Bridgewater-Raritan 321-328. Somerville took third with a 331.
