Perth Amboy Tech 16, Piscataway Tech 2: Anthony Niech belted a grand slam and Victor Caraballo also homered for the Patriots (2-0), whose shutout streak was snapped at 11 innings when the Raiders (0-2) scored twice in the top of the fifth.

Colonia 3, Perth Amboy 2: Freshman Nick Nielson, who went the distance, worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the seventh inning to preserve a second consecutive one-run victory for the Patriots (2-1).

After allowing a two-out double to Chris Brito, intentionally walking Darius Diaz and hitting the ensuing batter to load the bases, Nielson recorded a game-ending groundout.

Shortstop Frank Lehmann fueled a decisive two-run rally in the third inning with an RBI single. Anthony Demeo also plated a run with a fielder’s choice groundout.

Middlesex 7, Bishop Ahr 2: Starting pitcher Tyler Dymond rebounded from a rocky start to hurl five innings and pick up the win on the mound as the Blue Jays (2-0) completed a series sweep of the Trojans (0-2).
