Ridge 9, Hopewell Valley 2: Bryce Kirkwood scored four goals to pace Ridge (1-0). Alex Choy scored twice. Will Burckley added one goal and four assists. Michael Harris made five saves and contributed one assist.

Hightstown 9, East Brunswick 8: East Brunswick rallied with four goals in the fourth quarter to tie the game 8-8, but Hightstown scored with 28 seconds remaining for the win. Sean Kelliher led the Bears (0-1) with a hat trick and two assists. Tim Gudzak scored twice. Thomas Bahmer added one goal and one assist.

Bridgewater-Raritan 8, Hunterdon Central 2: Nick Attanasio, Sean MacKinney and Dan MacKinney each scored twice to lead Bridgewater-Raritan (1-0). Jalen Holmes and Joe Lenskold also scored. Mark Bieda added three assists. Kyle O'Neil made eight saves. For Hunterdon Central (0-1), Kyle Johnson and Jack Kovi scored.

Montgomery 17, North Hunterdon 6: Dan Engels recorded four goals and four assists, and Nico Ipeker tallied four goals and three assists to lift Montgomery (1-0). Kyle Marrapodi scored five goals and Joe Mercurio scored twice. Connor McMahon led North Hunterdon (0-1) with two goals and one assist. Jason Chioda registered one goal and two assists.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 13, Cranford 3: Robert Gordon and Richard Nardone each recorded a hat trick for Scotch Plains-Fanwood (1-0). Jack Brady and Anthony Porter each tallied one goal and two assists. Noah Costanzo scored twice. Riley Guma finished with 14 saves.

South Brunswick 8, West Windsor-Plainsboro South 5: John Lanzalotto finished with two goals and one assist for South Brunswick (1-0). Austin Haren tallied one goal and three assists. Davey Weiss, Ciro Iovine, Shane Carneglia, Ben Butler and Shane Briody also scored. Roger Sheffmaker and Connor McDermott combined for 11 saves.

Brick Memorial 17, North Brunswick 5: Andrew Richardson led North Brunswick (0-1) with two goals and one assist. Justin Brown chipped in one goal and one assist. Aziz Sako and Myles Ingram also scored.

Westfield 14, West Essex 6: Nick Bond scored seven goals to lead Westfield (1-0). Devon McLane recorded two goals and five assists. Matthew Rittendale tallied two goals and one assist and Jake Wornow scored twice. Nick Nolan chipped in five assists. Jack McCauley and Theo Dardia combined for nine saves.

Immaculata 12, St. Joseph (Met.) 10: Chris Kirschner finished with four goals and two assists to pace Immaculata (1-0). Conner Entwistle recorded two goals and two assists. Steve Dwyer and Tommy Palen each added two goals and one assist. Timmy Day led St. Joseph (0-1) with a hat trick and three assists. Brian Gates tallied two goals and two assists. Garrett Klurman totaled two goals and one assist and Max Bischoff scored twice.

Hillsborough 9, Rutgers Prep 7: Jack Casey led Hillsborough (1-0) with six goals. Chris Santa Barbara recorded one goal and two assists. Colin Purdy added one goal and one assist. Tim Yost chipped in two assists. Matt Wybraniec made nine saves. For Rutgers Prep (0-1), Dan Varga scored four goals. Tre Allen finished with one goal and one assist. Cole Touhey made 13 saves while Charlie Phillips made five saves.

Gill Sr. Bernard's 12, Parsippany Hills 3: Nick Cooper finished with seven goals and three assists, including his 100th career goal, to lead Gill St. Bernard's (1-0). Cam Burns added a hat trick. Will Dadouris made 19 saves.
