FIRST TEAM

G Paul Mulcahy, Gill St. Bernard's, So.

The sophomore, who has scored 701 points in two years, averaged 15 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game as Gill St. Bernard's finished 25-4, won the Skyland Conference Delaware Division title at 10-0, won its second-straight Somerset County Tournament title and advanced to the NJSIAA Non-Public South B semifinals, where it fell to Roselle Catholic 54-51. Mulcahy scored 18 points against Rutgers Prep in the SCT final and scored 12 against Roselle Catholic in the Non-Public South B semifinals.

G Tucker Richardson, Hunterdon Central, Sr.

The Courier News Boys Basketball Player of the Year led Hunterdon Central in points, rebounds, assists and steals this year, averaging 18.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, and finished with 77 steals and 15 blocks. Richardson, who scored his 1,000th point on Feb. 11, helped lead the Red Devils to the Skyland Conference Raritan Division title, their first Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament title in eight seasons, of which Richardson was named the MVP, and their first-ever sectional title, a 41-39 victory over Freehold Township. Hunterdon Central fell in the Group IV semifinals to Shawnee, a game in which Richardson scored 21 points, but finished the season with a school-record 26 victories.

This season Gao averaged 14.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game as Bridgewater-Raritan finished with a 20-8 record, finished second in the Raritan Division, advanced to the Somerset County Tournament semifinals as the No. 2 seed and advanced to the North 2 Group IV semifinals for the first time since 2012. Gao finished with a season-high 27 points against Scotch Plains-Fanwood in the N2GIV quarterfinals, and scored 19 points in both the SCT quarterfinal and semifinal games.

F Jared Chambliss, Immaculata, Jr. 

Chambliss, who became the first junior in program history and first since 2009 to score 1,000 points, led Immaculata with 19.4 points and seven rebounds per game and finished with a 83 percent free throw percentage. Chambliss, who scored 525 points this season, scored 20 or more points 18 times this season, and scored a season-high 32 points against Irvington on Dec. 29. He also scored 21 points against Gill St. Bernard's in a Non-Public South B first-round loss.

G Kevin Scanlan, Delaware Valley, Sr.

Scanlan averaged 15.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game for Delaware Valley. He led the team in points, rebounds and blocks and was second in assists and steals. He helped to lead Delaware Valley to a 18-9 record, which was the most wins since 2007, the first home state tournament game since 2012, the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament final and the Terriers won the Skyland Conference Valley Division for the first time since 2007.
