Boys Basketball: Union County Tournament bracket

The Union County Boys Basketball Tournament was seeded on Wednesday, with Roselle Catholic, the Patrick School, St. Mary's (Eliz.) and Linden earning the top four seeds. 

Linden, the No. 1 seed in last year's tournament, fell to second-seeded Patrick School 58-44 in the final.

Rahway earned the No. 6 seed, Union Catholic is the seventh seed, New Providence is the No. 8 seed and Scotch Plains-Fanwood garnered the ninth seed. 

Plainfield is the 11th-seed, Westfield is the No. 12 seed and the No. 15 seed went to Governor Livingston. 

The top four seeds earned a bye into the quarterfinals. 

The first round must be played by Saturday, and the second round is scheduled to be played by Wednesday, Feb. 14. The quarterfinals will be held Friday, Feb. 16 as two double-headers and the semifinals are set for 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at Kean Univeresity. The final will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Kean.
