Boys Basketball: This week's Courier News Top 10

1. Gill St. Bernard's (5-3): Gill St. Bernard's bounced back from a two-point loss to Our Savior New American (N.Y.) with a commanding win over Bridgewater-Raritan on Tuesday. The Knights, who are tied with Rutgers Prep for first in the Skyland Conference Delaware Division at 2-0, open a stretch of division games starting with Hillsborough on Thursday night before traveling to the Argonauts on Saturday.

2. Rutgers Prep (4-2): Rutgers Prep snapped a two-game skid with a win over Hillsborough on Tuesday after almost two weeks off. The Argonauts will look to find their groove again against Ridge on Thursday, rival Gill St. Bernard's on Saturday and Phillipsburg on Tuesday.

3. Union Catholic (7-3): Union Catholic has won four of its last five games, picking up a win against Elizabeth on Tuesday after a loss to Bergen Catholic on Saturday. Behind Ibn Lynn (12.7 points per game), Robert Miller (14.7 ppg.) and Jaheim Tanksley (17.4 ppg.), the Vikings looked to gain ground in the UCC Mountain Division with a game against St. Mary (Eliz.) on Thursday.

4. Scotch Plains-Fanwood (6-0): Scotch Plains-Fanwood has yet to lose a game this season and is averaging 52 points a game. The Raiders faced Cranford on Thursday and will play Roselle Park in a makeup game on Friday, Hunterdon Central on Saturday at Kean University and Woodbridge on Sunday also at Kean.

5. Voorhees (6-1): Voorhees has won two in a row since falling to Hopewell Valley on Dec. 28. The Vikings, which are averaging 57 points a game so far this season, played West Essex on Thursday and will play Warren Tech on Saturday.

6. Hunterdon Central (6-2): Hunterdon Central has won two in a row against Montgomery and Phillipsburg after falling to Hillsborough by one point back on Dec. 28. The Red Devils, first in the Raritan Division at 4-0, played Watchung Hills in a division tilt on Thursday and will play Scotch Plains-Fanwood on Saturday at Kean. 

7. North Hunterdon (4-3): North Hunterdon, which is averaging 68 points per game, beat Montgomery in its last game after falling to Faith Christian (Pa.) back on Dec. 29. With 16 different players having contributed to the offense this season, the Lions will look to get back on track against Phillipsburg on Thursday and Westfield on Saturday.

8. Montgomery (6-3): Montgomery has gone 1-2 in its last three games, with a one point win over Chatham and losses to Hunterdon Central and North Hunterdon. Montgomery faced Immaculata on Thursday and will play Somerville on Saturday before a big test in Gill St. Bernard's on Tuesday.

9. Bridgewater-Raritan (4-3): Bridgewater-Raritan followed a win over Elizabeth with a loss to Gill St. Bernard's on Tuesday. The Panthers faced Franklin on Thursday and will play Woodbridge on Saturday at Montgomery. 

10. Ridge (4-3): Ridge is coming off a win over Franklin on Tuesday, its first game since Dec. 30. The Red Devils have a tough stretch coming up, as they played Rutgers Prep on Thursday and will host the GMC's Colonia on Sunday at Kean. 

10. Watchung Hills (5-3): Watchung Hills has won three of its last four, and is coming off a four-point win over Immaculata on Tuesday. The Warriors had a date with Raritan Division foe Hunterdon Central on Thursday and will play West Morris on Saturday.
