Hockey: Westfield earns No. 2 seed in Union County Cup

The Union County Cup ice hockey bracket has been seeded, with Summit and Westfield earning the top two seeds. 

Westfield fell to Summit in the final last year 6-0 as the Hilltoppers won their sixth county title in eight years. Both teams earned a bye into the semifinals. 

The first round will begin Monday and the semifinals are slated for Wednesday, Jan. 17. The final is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, with all games being played at the Warinanco Ice Skating Center.

5-Cranford vs. 4-Gov. Livingston, winner at 1-Summit

6-Johnson vs. 3-Scotch Plains-Fanwood, winner at 2-Westfield
