SOMERSET COUNTY TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINALS

Gill St. Bernard’s 68, Ridge 46: Paul Mulcahy posted 13 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists for top-seeded Gill St. Bernard’s (20-3). Alex Schachne tallied 13 points and six assists while Brad Bundschuh added 12 points and six rebounds for the Knights, who will play fourth-seeded Immaculata in the semifinals on Feb. 18. Curtis Lyons scored 11 points for ninth-seeded Ridge (10-13).

Rutgers Prep 78, North Plainfield 53: Nahshon Battle led third-seeded Rutgers Prep (12-9) with 12 points. Zachary Brown and Miles Johnson each added 11 points for the Argonauts, who will play second-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan in the semifinals on Feb. 18. For No. 6 North Plainfield (16-5), Ka-Ron Dock scored 15 points. Tony Godwin finished with 13 points.

Immaculata 71, Bound Brook 62: Jared Chambliss posted 22 points and eight rebounds to pace fourth-seeded Immaculata (13-10). BJ Honis scored 15 points and Stephen Dwyer contributed 13 points for the Spartans, who will play top-seeded Gill St. Bernard’s in the semifinals on Feb. 18. Evian Brown scored a game-high 32 points for fifth-seeded Bound Brook (16-5).

GREATER MIDDLESEX CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND

St. Joseph 74, Edison 60: Letrell West recorded 34 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals for top-seeded St. Joseph (22-1). Richard Greaves tallied 19 points while Zach Martini added 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Falcons, who will play ninth-seeded Piscataway in the quarterfinals on Feb. 19. Christian Wantong scored 22 points while Joe Cudakiewicz added 19 points for 16th-seeded Edison (10-14).

South Brunswick 52, Perth Amboy 49: Michael Ugarte led second-seeded South Brunswick (20-3) with 16 points. Tavian Alford added 11 points for the Vikings, who will play 10th-seeded J. F. Kennedy in the quarterfinals on Feb. 19.

Sayreville 56, J.P. Stevens 31: Xavier Townes scored 14 points to pace third-seeded Sayreville (18-6). Ope Olaloko and Hendersen Mautes each added 10 points for the Bombers, who will play sixth-seeded Carteret in the quarterfinals on Feb. 19. Elisha Smith scored 14 points for 14th-seeded J.P. Stevens (7-15).

Woodbridge 74, South Plainfield 51: Keshaun Henry tallied 18 points to fuel fourth-seeded Woodbridge (17-4). Quran Robinson scored 13 points and Curtis Nesbit added 11 points for the Barrons, who will play fifth-seeded Old Bridge in the quarterfinals on Feb. 19. Deshai Smith tallied 15 points, Will McLaughlin posted 12 points and Jalil Palms added 10 points for 13th-seeded South Plainfield (9-12).

Carteret 51, Monroe 46: Isaiah Daniels-Porter tallied 19 points and 11 rebounds to pace sixth-seeded Carteret (18-6). Jemar Jordan added 17 points, six rebounds, five steals and three blocks for the Ramblers, who will third-seeded Sayreville in the quarterfinals on Feb. 19. Sashank Sindhia scored 11 points for 22nd-seeded Monroe (5-18).

Piscataway 86, Perth Amboy Tech 41: D’Ondre Dent paced ninth-seeded Piscataway (13-8) with 20 points. Dahjuan Bennerman added eight points for the Chiefs, who will play top-seeded St. Joseph in the quarterfinals on Feb. 19.

J.F. Kennedy 63, Bishop Ahr 49: Kobie Wells tallied 18 points to pace 10th-seeded J.F. Kennedy (10-9). Bendji Pierre added 13 points for the Mustangs, who will play second-seeded South Brunswick in the quarterfinals on Feb. 19. Sean Kudelka tallied 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals while Deontae Crawford added nine points and 20 rebounds for seventh-seeded Bishop Ahr (14-9).

REGULAR SEASON

South River 85, Piscataway Tech 75: Derrick Whitaker scored 33 points, including the 1,000th of his career, for South River (10-13). Whitaker, who also tallied six rebounds and five steals, now has 1,022 career points. Joseph Nigro scored 17 points and Michael DeSantis added 16 points for the Rams.

Linden 80, Elizabeth 49: Khalief Crawford exploded for 30 points as Linden (18-3) clinched a co-conference championship with Patrick School. Tavon Jones tallied 19 points and six assists while Joey Krempa added 14 points for the Tigers.

Watchung Hills 77, Franklin 65: Dan Pilsbury paced Watchung Hills (10-12) with 27 points and eight rebounds. Steven Bressler tallied 17 points and seven assists while Gavin DeFuria added 10 points for the Warriors. Lamont Purcell led Franklin (6-16) with 21 points while Dominic Wright recorded 13 points and Francis Omowole added 10 points.

Delaware Valley 71, Spotswood 57: Christian Hlinka tallied 18 points and Alex Ferrera added 13 points for Delaware Valley (16-6). Kevin Scanlan and Joe Cansfield each scored 11 points while Brian Godown contributed 10 points for the Terriers. Abdullah Nieskens scored 17 points and Justin Dekovics added 10 points for Spotswood (6-19).

Pingry 50, Dunellen 42: Zach Keller scored 19 points and LJ Davidson added 18 points for Pingry (10-10). Oscar Caballero and Tyje Kelton each scored 15 points for Dunellen (8-15). Kelton also pulled down seven rebounds.

Manville 58, South Amboy 41: Ondra Mayfield tallied 15 points and 10 steals to lead Manville (9-15). Kenny Valasquez recorded 14 points, eight steals, five rebounds and five blocks while Kehinde Ibironke added 14 points and five rebounds for the Mustangs. Ramon Quinonez recorded 11 points and eight rebounds. Kyle Gasiewski scored 21 points for South Amboy (6-15).

North Hunterdon 76, Voorhees 65: Andrew Berger recorded a double-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks for North Hunterdon (9-12). Michael DelSantro scored 19 points and Nick Guasta added 11 points. Paul Woolhouse chipped in 10 points. For Voorhees (8-13), Kyle Kokoskie led with 20 points, two rebounds and four assists. Blair Felts finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
