Piscataway vs. Sayreville in high school football action on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017.

1. Piscataway (4-0): Running back Juwon Jackson rushed 31 times for 138 yards and a score to help rally the Chiefs to a 12-6 comeback victory over Sayreville. Quarterback Joseph Hatcher completed 13 of 21 attempts for 142 yards and a score. Nahjir Woods had six catches for 75 yards. Jevon Buckmire recorded a team-high 12 tackles, while Michael Petite (nine tackles) and Kamile Pryor (eight tackles) also anchored the defense. Next: Old Bridge, Friday, 7 p.m.

2. South Brunswick (3-1): Quarterback Felix Quinones had a hand in all three of South Brunswick's touchdowns in a 21-6 victory over Edison. Quinones completed scoring strikes of 20 yards to Justin Shorter and 35 yards to Jaylan Lawson. He also scored on a 1-yard keeper. Next: East Brunswick, Friday, 7 p.m.

3. St. Joseph (5-0): The defending White Division champions extended their division winning streak to 15 games with a 49-0 blanking of injury-riddled South Plainfield. Garrett Klurman had three catches for 75 yards. Jordan Davis scored on runs of 54 and 50 yards to give St. Joseph a 14-0 lead. Paul Cocozziello completed 8 of 16 passes for 134 yards. Manny Resto rushed 16 times for 144 yards including a 65-yard touchdown. Next: Monsignor Donovan, Saturday, 1 p.m.

4. Sayreville (3-2): The Bombers dropped their second straight heartbreaker, squandering a fourth-quarter lead in a 12-6 loss to undefeated Piscataway. Nick Milewski booted field goals of 28 and 21 yards to account for Sayreville's scoring. Quarterback Mark Whitford completed 8 of 14 passes for 116 yards. Next: at Monroe, Friday, 7 p.m.

5. Old Bridge (2-2): The Knights had a bye. Next: at Piscataway, Friday, 7 p.m.

6. Colonia (3-2): Signal caller Taj-Calvin Johnson led the Patriots to a 21-7 win over Carteret. He completed 9 of 13 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown. Johnson also rushed 10 times for 43 yards. Running back Sam Pero rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries. Next: at South Plainfield, Friday, 7 p.m.

7. North Brunswick (3-2): Myles Bailey rushed for more than 200 yards for the second consecutive week, finishing with 204 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries in a 21-7 victory over J.P. Stevens. Christian Petrillo passed for 72 yards. The Raiders have won three in a row. Next: at J.F. Kennedy, Friday, 7 p.m.

8. Edison (1-3): The Eagles played well defensively for the third consecutive week and snapped their scoreless streak at 11 quarters with a fourth-quarter touchdown in a 21-6 loss to South Brunswick. After opening the year with a comeback win over Monroe, Edison has dropped three straight to Top 5 teams. Next: New Brunswick, Friday, 7 p.m.

9. Carteret (2-2): Diario Demorla hauled in a 32-yard touchdown pass from Zamar Brake in the fourth quarter as the Ramblers averted a shutout in a 21-7 loss at Colonia. Carteret has been limited to one touchdown in each of its two defeats, both to schools ranked ahead of it in the Top 10. Next: Woodbridge, Friday, 7 p.m.

10. South River (5-0): Quarterback Michael DeSantis completed 12 of 16 attempts for 262 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-7 drubbing of Metuchen. DeSantis also rushed for a score. Running back Billy Drum amassed 112 yards and scored three touchdowns on 13 carries. Travis Thomas had a 99-yard touchdown reception and also returned a punt 51 yards for a score. Next: Highland Park, Saturday, 1 p.m.
