GMC Football: Young, Buntin lift J.P. Stevens over J.F. Kennedy

Sophomore quarterback Joseph Young and backfield mate Nadal Buntin each scored a pair of touchdowns to lead the J.P. Stevens High School football team to a 28-7 victory over J.F. Kennedy on Thursday night.

Buntin finished with 98 yards on the ground for the Hawks (1-2). He scored on runs of 23 yards in the first quarter and 68 yards in the second quarter.

Young rushed 17 times for 58 yards. He scored on runs of 1 yard in the second quarter and 8 yards in the fourth quarter. Young completed a 61-yard pass to Dan Ricigliano and completed two passes to Devon Fowlkes for 51 yards.

Quarterback David Lee gave the Mustangs (1-3) a 7-0 lead in the first quarter with a 5-yard touchdown run.
