Scotch Plains-Fanwood 53, Brearley 35: Brianna O'Brien scored 17 points as No. 16 Scotch Plains-Fanwood (3-17) defeated No. 17 Brearley (11-4) in the first round of the Union County Tournament. Summer Sheppard added 14 points.

Linden 52, Plainfield 42: Nyshaya Holmes recorded a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds as No. 15 Linden (13-7) advanced in the Union County Tournament. Noelle Williams scored 15 points. For No. 18 Plainfield (2-16), Tahni Helms-Ishmael led with 23 points. Jailah White scored 11 points. Linden will face No. 2 New Providence in the next round.

Edison 62, Spotswood 46: Virginia Lagdameo finished with 18 points, three rebounds and two assists for Edison (13-8). Samira Sargent added 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals. For Spotswood (14-9), Erin Malin led with 13 points. Mary Beth Barnosky scored 11 points.

South Brunswick 52, Pennington 39: Amber Brown recorded 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals to lift South Brunswick (18-3). Alexis Royal chipped in nine points and two rebounds. Alexis Adams added seven points and eight rebounds.

Stuart Day 57, South Hunterdon 42: Giovanna Rubino recorded a double-double for South Hunterdon (6-14) with 15 points, 14 rebounds and five steals. Cady Trelstad added eight points, nine rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

Union Catholic 53, St. Elizabeth 37: Andrya Robinson and Taylor Gardner each recorded double-doubles for Union Catholic (15-4). Robinson finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. Gardner tallied 13 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals. Izzy DiDario added seven points, eight rebounds, eight assists and two blocks.

Roselle Catholic 52, New Providence 36: Katie Kinum led New Providence (17-4) with 20 points, six rebounds and two assists.
