1. Sayreville (13-1)Last week No. 1: The first-place Bombers remain the cream of the crop in the GMC. Sayreville is currently riding a nine-game winning streak and hasn’t lost a game in 2017. Twelve of Sayreville’s 13 victories have been decided by at least 19 points and the last time the Bombers won by less than double digits was Dec. 17. Senior Isi Enahoro continues to lead the Bombers, averaging 14.6 points per game, 6.9 steals per game and 5.6 rebounds per game.

2. South Brunswick (11-2)Last week No. 2: Riding a five-game winning streak of their own, the Vikings notched big division victories this week against Old Bridge and Monroe and also beat Skyland Conference powerhouse Hunterdon Central. South Brunswick sits alone at the top of the Red Division and will play second-place Piscataway on Thursday. Senior Amber Brown leads the Vikings with 19.8 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game.

3. Bishop Ahr (11-3)Last week No. 4: Bishop Ahr is yet another GMC team riding a winning streak, with the Trojans currently owning a six-game winning streak. The Trojans haven’t lost since its 19-point loss to Sayreville on Jan. 5 and they sit only one game behind the Bombers in the White Division standings. Freshman Emma Boslet has drained 30 three-pointers and is averaging 14.9 points per game.

4. Edison (8-5)Last week No. 6: The Eagles previously lost three games in a row, but rebounded nicely with 43-40 victory over Red Division rival Piscataway on Thursday. Freshman Madison Ruddy has already knocked down 35 three-pointers while sophomore Samira Sargent has added 34 three-pointers. Sophomore Daniella Marmol has controlled the paint, averaging 9.7 rebounds per game and 2.3 blocks per game.

5. Old Bridge (8-6)Last week No. 5: The Knights were routed by first-place South Brunswick on Tuesday, and the schedule won’t get any easier going forward. Old Bridge’s next three opponents have a combined record of 23-16. Senior Amanda Carney leads Old Bridge with 19.2 points per game while sharp-shooting freshman Rachel Kuhl has drained 36 three-pointers thus far.

6. Piscataway (8-6)Last week No. 3: The Chiefs have lost their last two games against tough Edison and Bridgewater-Raritan squads. Over its next three games, Piscataway faces opponents with a combined record of 30-11, including a matchup against first-place South Brunswick on Thursday. Junior LaNiya Miller leads the Chiefs with 18.3 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game.

7. East Brunswick (7-5)Last week No. 7: The Bears started the week with an impressive 50-47 victory over a solid Edison squad but finished the week with a 55-50 loss to a not-so-solid J.P. Stevens team. East Brunswick has lost five of its last six games. Junior Nicole Johnson leads East Brunswick with 14.2 points per game.

8. South Plainfield (8-4)Previously unranked: Perhaps the biggest surprise in the GMC this season, South Plainfield has won six games in a row after starting 2-4 and has notched impressive wins against Woodbridge and Metuchen during that stretch. Freshman Mackenzie O’Brien leads the Tigers with 12.7 points per game and 13.1 rebounds per game.

9, South River (11-3)Last week No. 9: In their first season in the Blue Division, the first-place Rams have dominated after moving up from the Gold Division. Senior center Aleah Bass, who already has over 1,000 career rebounds, is one point away from her 1,000th career point.

10. Middlesex (9-4)Last week No. 10: Another surprise this season, Middlesex sits in second place of the Blue Division and has won three of its last four games. Sophomore Carly Santucci leads a balanced scoring attack with 11.9 points per game and senior Candace DiNizo has drained 28 three-pointers.

Dropped from the rankings: Woodbridge (8-5)

Also receiving consideration: Spotswood (8-6)
