Boys Swimming: Pingry wins Skyland Conference Championships

The Pingry School's boys swim team clinched the Skyland Conference Championships on Saturday after winning six of the 11 events for 309 points.

Bridgewater-Raritan was second with 234 points and host Montgomery placed third with 141 points.

The Big Blue won all three relay events, taking the 200 medley relay in 1:37.23, the 200 freestyle relay in 1:27.37 and the 400 freestyle relay in 3:12.53.

Victor Vollbrechthausen won the 200 freestyle for Pingry in 1:45.67, while Sean Tan took the 200 individual medley in 1:54.11. In the 50 free, Will Zhang (21.45) and Leighton Mayers (21.69) finished in first and second, and Mayers also won the 100 butterfly in 51.37.

Bridgewater-Raritan's Daniel Petrillo won the 500 freestyle in 4:49.13 and teammate Christopher Ruhnke won the 100 breaststroke in 57.93.

Hillsborough's Matthew Sanders won the 100 freestyle in 47.75.
