ANTONIO OLIVEIRA

Position: Forward

School: St. Joseph (Met.)

Highlights: The senior led St. Joseph with 23 goals and tallied 10 assists as the Falcons finished 12-8-2, advanced to the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament semifinals and the NJSIAA South Non-Public A semifinals. Oliveira recorded four goals in a game twice, against Perth Amboy and Old Bridge, and had a hat trick and one assist against Sayreville in the GMC Tournament quarterfinals.

MATT MISCHLER

Position: Midfield/Forward

School: Monroe

Highlights: The Home News Tribune 2016 All-Area Boys Soccer Player of the Year finished with 31 goals and 15 assists as the Falcons finished 16-4-1 and won the GMC Red Division for the first time since 2005. Mischler, who is headed to the naval academy next year, helped lead Monroe to the Central Group IV semifinals.

JACOB VILLACRES

Position: Midfield

School: South Plainfield

Highlights: The senior led South Plainfield with 17 goals and nine assists as the Tigers (15-7) won the GMC White Division title, advanced to the GMC Tournament semifinals and the Central Group II quarterfinals.

BRUNO ANDINO

Position: Midfield

School: North Brunswick

Highlights: The senior tallied four goals and two assists as North Brunswick finished at 17-4-2, finished second in the GMC White Division and won the GMC Tournament championship for the first time since 2005 as the No. 10 seed.

WILLIAM ROJAS

Position: Midfield

School: New Brunswick

Highlights: The senior finished with a team-high 17 goals and added seven assists as New Brunswick went 12-5-2 and started the season 10-1. Rojas posted at least one point in 15 games and was a main threat for the Zebras this season.

SERGIO CABALLERO

Position: Midfield

School: South Brunswick

Highlights: The senior led South Brunswick with nine assists and tallied six goals as the Vikings went 14-7 and advanced to the GMC Tournament final for the second-straight year.

SUAL DOWNES

Position: Midfield

School: Old Bridge

Highlights: The senior finished with four goals and five assists as Old Bridge went 12-6-2, which tied the record for most wins in a season, and included a 10-game undefeated streak (9-0-1) at the end of the season.

SAHIL PATEL

Position: Midfield

School: East Brunswick

Highlights: The senior tallied six goals and five assists as East Brunswick advanced to the GMC Tournament quarterfinals.

HAMZA KHAN

Position: Defense

School: North Brunswick

Highlights: The senior helped to anchor a defense that posted nine shutouts and allowed only three goals during its GMC Tournament run. Khan finished with one goal and two assists, and according to coach Paul Liddy, "was a big reason why were able to win the GMC Tournament."

MATT CAVADAS

Position: Defense

School: Monroe

Highlights: The senior tallied eight goals and two assists and was ranked as the top defender in the GMC. Cavadas helped to anchor a defense that allowed less than a goal per game and posted six shutouts en route to the Red Division title.

PAWEL DZIELSKI

Position: Goalie

School: North Brunswick

Highlights: The senior made 155 saves, posted nine shutouts and allowed only 11 goals for the GMC Tournament champions. During the GMC Tournament, Dzielski allowed three goals and posted three shutouts, then helped the Raiders win their opening game of the Central Group IV Tournament, 4-3 in penalty kicks, against rival South Brunswick.
