Elizabeth 26, East Orange 7: LeShane Taylor ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns, throwing another, as fifth-seeded Elizabeth claimed a road victory. Jabril Harmon caught a scoring pass and Clarence Wilkins returned a punt 46 yards for a score for the Minutemen, who will visit top-seeded two-time defending champion Westfield in next Saturday’s semifinals.

Rahway 45, Summit 37: The fifth-seeded Indians will face top-seeded West Essex in next weekend’s semifinals.

North 2 Group I

Roselle Park 27, Glen Ridge 21: Dylan Camillo rushed for 88 yards and three touchdowns and Gary Rexach added 80 rushing yards and a score to lead sixth-seeded Roselle Park over the No. 3 seed. The Panthers visit second-seeded Shabazz next weekend.

Central Group III

Somerville 51, Ewing 12: Robbie Fiorentino gobbled up 206 yards and scored three touchdowns, and Jalahn Dabney threw a touchdown pass and ran in another as second-seeded Somerville had no trouble with seventh-seeded Ewing, advancing to the semifinals. The Pioneers (9-1) will play host to the winner of Saturday’s game between sixth-seeded Carteret and No. 3 Monmouth. Ryan Kovacs also threw a touchdown pass in the victory, while Ethan Hilliman and Da’Shaun Smith caught scoring tosses and Duke McDuffie scored on a 70-yard interception return in the first quarter. Dabney’s 10 tackles paced the defense.

Central Group II

A.L. Johnson 34, Holmdel 6: Joe Turek notched 134 rushing yards and two touchdowns, contributing 11 tackles and forced fumble on defense, as third-seeded A.L. Johnson moved on to the semifinals. Sebastian Iakouchevitch added 111 rushing yards and a score for the Crusaders, who will face the winner of Saturday’s game between seventh-seeded Hillside and second-seeded South River.

Manasquan 41, Roselle 8: Craig McCrae scored on a three-yard fourth-quarter run and then ran in the 2-point conversion as fourth-seeded Roselle avoided being shutout by the No. 5 seed.

Central Group I

Bound Brook 40, Florence 24: Josh Ejiogu rushed for 216 yards and three touchdowns and Mason Horsburgh added 183 rushing yards and two scores as third-seeded Bound Brook advanced to the semifinals and a meeting with seventh-seeded Point Pleasant Beach. Ahmad Campbell chipped in 123 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Crusaders.

North 2 Group IV

North Hunterdon 26, Orange 9: Luke Wain rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Matt Busher tallied 80 rushing yards and a score and threw a touchdown pass to Griffin Honthy, as second-seeded North Hunterdon shook off a 9-6 halftime deficit to advance, scoring 26 unanswered points. The Lions will play host to sixth-seeded Sayreville next Friday night.

Phillipsburg 48, Millburn 14: Sean Morro caught three passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns and Abdul Salahuddin ran in a pair of scores as top-seeded Phillipsburg rolled. The Stateliners will play host to fourth-seeded Irvington in the semifinals.

Irvington 16, Linden 13: BJ George scored a pair of touchdowns for No. 5 Linden, but Irvington scored 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to advance.

North 2 Group III

Voorhees 42, Nutley 7: George Eberle threw two touchdown passes and ran in two more as third-seeded Voorhees cruised past No. 6 Nutley in the opening round of the North 2 Group III Tournament. Eberle passed for 175 yards, rushing for 49 more, while Colin Tong tallied 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns, adding 12 tackles, a sack and an interception to lead the defensive effort. John Roncoroni hauled in four catches and a touchdown in the victory, while Will Rodenberg grabbed a 25-yard scoring strike. Eberle finished 6-for-6 kicking extra points. Charles Eberle’s 11 tackles and 10 stops and a sack from Luke Marturana also aided the Vikings, who will visit second-seeded Parsippany Hills in next weekend’s semifinals.

Parsippany Hills 48, Cranford 21: Seventh-seeded Cranford trailed 28-14 at halftime and couldn’t close the gap.

North 2 Group I

Belvidere 34, Becton 29: David Kinney rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns and Matt Frauen rushed for 144 yards and a pair of scores to lead fourth-seeded Belvidere. Tyler Yard chopped in 137 yards and a touchdowns for the County Seaters, who will visit top-seeded Weequahic in the semifinals.

Non-Public Group II

Immaculata 10, Hudson Catholic 6: Quarterback Patrick Frauenheim scored on a one-yard keeper and Zach Helleis kicked a 20-yard field goal and an extra point as the fifth-seeded Spartans knocked off No. 5 Hudson Catholic, marking the second straight season Immaculata has upset the Hawks in the first round. Tommy McGuire made 12 tackles and Matt Lynch added 11 tackles and a sack to pace the defense for the Spartans, who knocked off Hudson Catholic as the No. 8 seed last year. Immaculata will face the winner of Saturday’s game between top-seeded St. Joseph-Hammonton and No. 8 St. Mary in the semifinals.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 43, Hopatcong 24: Senior quarterback Cooper Heisey capped his brilliant career by completing 18-of-26 passes for 352 yards and five touchdowns, as Scotch Plains-Fanwood finished its season with a victory. Anthony Porter caught three touchdown passes, tallying 88 yards, while Dwight Laylor hauled in a pair of scoring strikes, totaling 109 yards receiving. Isaiah Stewart made nine grabs for 155 yards for the Raiders (1-9). Nick Palazzolo scored on a three-yard touchdown run for SPF.

Plainfield 35, Kearny 6: Antwan Spencer rushed for 100 yards and two scores and Leonte Langston threw two touchdown passes as Plainfield got in the win column. Haleem Woods caught a scoring pass and Naseer Long caught the other for the Cardinals (1-9). Deriq Thomas and Al-Wazeer Stembridge grabbed interceptions in the victory.

Montgomery 31, Mendham 8: Grant Papa ran in three touchdowns and the Montgomery defense posted two safeties as the Cougars finished 2-8. Reese Clark added a two-yard touchdown run in the victory.

Pingry 7, Bishop Ahr 6: Channing Russell’s 59-yard second-quarter touchdown run to go with a James Draper extra point kick was enough for Pingry to cap its season with a victory. The Big Blue (7-3) successfully defended a 2-point conversion pass attempt in the second quarter after a Bishop Ahr touchdown.

THURSDAY

Delaware Valley 20, Bordentown 6: Lane McCarty and Jared Pershyn ran in touchdowns and Joey Beljan returned an interception 58 yards for a score as Delaware Valley improved to 5-5. Tyler Neal racked up 123 yards on 22 carries for the Terriers. Beljan finished with 10 tackles and two interceptions, while Ryan Kolvites added 11 tackles and a pick. Zane Seal recorded 10 tackles and a sack in the victory.

Bernards 49, Metuchen 14: Lofton Hoover passed for two touchdowns and added 102 rushing yards and a score, chipping in a 2-point conversion run, as Bernards finished its season on a two-game winning streak. Joey Billotti caught a touchdown pass and ran in another, gaining 75 yards on the ground, and Avery Rosenzweig added a scoring grab for the Mountaineers (3-7). Ethan Caldwell contributed 78 rushing yards and two scores to the triumph.

Brearley 31, Dunellen 20: Khaleed Bonnet ran for 169 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Mike Ramos added 167 rushing yards and two scores, as Brearley finished 5-5. Nino Principato kicked a 26-yard field goal in the victory.
