GMC FOOTBALL: Piscataway secures No. 2 seed as Jackson rushes for 303 yards

Piscataway 46, Edison 0: Juwon Jackson rushed for 303 yards, which is one yard shy of the school’s single-game record, as the Chiefs secured the No. 2 seed for the North 2 Group V playoffs.

Jackson carried just 11 times. He rushed for three touchdowns and also caught a screen pass for 53 yards that went for a score. Jackson’s scoring jaunts were of 95, 63 and 42 yards.

Tevin Shaw holds Piscataway’s single-game record for yards with 304 in a 2011 sectional championship against Elizabeth.

Quarterback Joseph Hatcher completed 3 of 6 passes for 68 yards for the Chiefs (6-2). Nasir Best had five carries for 70 yards and two touchdowns.

Kamille Pryor returned an interception 92 yards for a touchdown to close out the scoring.

Edison (2-6) ran 36 plays from scrimmage in the second half, while Piscataway ran just two.
