Middlesex 10, Bishop Ahr 0: Running back Devin Lanza rushed 15 times for 109 yards and quarterback John Kressbach had 90 yards on 14 carries as the Blue Jays recorded their first shutout since Nov. 26, 2015.

The Middlesex defense recorded two safeties and Kressbach accounted for the game’s lone touchdown, a 47-yard run.

Fullback Tom Rau contributed 77 rushing yards on 17 carries to the victory.

Middlesex (7-1) has limited three opponents to a touchdown or less.

With the victory, the Blue Jays, who entered this weekend’s action with the fourth most power points in Central Group I, appear to have secured for themselves a first-round home playoff game against an opponent to be determined next weekend.

Bishop Ahr, which was shut out for the second time this season, fell to 2-7 with its third consecutive loss.
