Hillsborough 23, Montgomery 6: Tyler Boatwright ran for 159 yards and two touchdowns, and Dylan Boczon added a 43-yard interception return for a score to boost Hillsborough (6-3). JR Metallo added a 26-yard field goal for the Raiders. Christian Boyle scored for Montgomery on a 10-yard pass from Ryan Furey, as the Cougars fell to 1-8.

South Hunterdon 38, Dayton 16: Junior quarterback Justin Torres threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns, adding a 40-yard run for a score as South Hunterdon (2-7) claimed its first Mid-State 37 Conference victory since 2015. Dayton is 1-8.

Hunterdon Central 24, Union 21: Jack Kovi scored three touchdowns as Hunterdon Central improved to 4-5.

Rahway 35, North Plainfield 12: Da’Shon Moore ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns and Zion Pendleton added 110 rushing yards and two scores as Rahway (5-4) rolled to a Mountain Division victory. Pendleton also added a 46-yard interception return for the Indians, who also got a 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from Jerrish Halsey. Jon Cordoza went 5-for-5 kicking extra points in the victory. North Plainfield fell to 0-8.

Phillipsburg 43, Immaculata 14: Quarterback Jack Staggard ran in two touchdowns and Sterling Walker-Sutton ran for 82 yards and a score as Phillipsburg (8-0) stayed undefeated and wrapped up the No. 1 seed in North 2 Group IV. Shahkyle Matthews’ 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the closing minutes of the first half provided the best highlight for Immaculata (5-4), which also got a 13-yard scoring run from Brian Santana.

Linden 32, Franklin 7: Tony Scott hit Clay Fields III with a slant and the senior went 65-yards for the touchdown to give Franklin a 7-0 lead on the game’s first possession, and the Warriors trailed just 12-7 at halftime, before Linden pulled away in the second half. The Warriors head into their consolation game 2-7.

Cranford 28, Delaware Valley 18: Jimmy Shriner scored twice and quarterback Dan Curren ran one in and hit Michael Kalnins with a scoring pass for another, as Cranford improved to 6-3. Jared Pershyn threw two touchdown passes for Delaware Valley, one to Kyle Monda and another to Joey Beljan, who also caught a 2-point conversion toss from Pershyn. Justin Carney contributed a 29-yard field goal for the Terriers (4-5).

Roselle 31, Bound Brook 7: Marvens Lormejuste threw a touchdown pass and ran in two more as Roselle (6-2) got the win it needed to qualify for the playoffs. Jaiden Chavis scored on a 61-yard kickoff return for Bound Brook (7-2).

A.L. Johnson 41, Governor Livingston 6: Joe Turek scored on runs of 42 and 10 yards to fuel A.L. Johnson (6-2). Governor Livingston fell to 1-7.

Belvidere 21, New Providence 7: David Kinney scored on a pair of scoring runs to power Belvidere (6-3). New Providence fell to 0-8.

Hackettstown 27, Warren Hills 21: Garrett Koch, Sean Morris and Zach Hamilton ran in touchdowns for Warren Hills, but a late-fourth-quarter Hackettstown touchdown sent the Blue Streaks to 3-6.

Independent

Pingry 42, George School (PA) 16: Obi Nnaeto rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns, and Nathan Hefner caught a 25-yard scoring pass from Joe Shilts as Pingry improved to 6-3. Channing Russell’s 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and Brian Benson’s three-yard fourth-quarter scoring scamper also contributed to the Big Blue’s victory. Peter Nicoletti led the Pingry defense, recording 10 tackles and a sack.

Saturday

Hillside 21, Brearley 15: James Louis scored on a 15-yard run in the first quarter and Nahree Biggins reached the end zone on a 40-yard fourth-quarter pass from Tajae Irby to power Hillside (6-3). The Comets added a final-quarter touchdown when Lekalay Horace went 24 yards after a fumble recovery. Quarterback Mike Ramos hit Jordan Stewart with a pair of touchdown passes for Brearley (4-5).

 

Hillsborough's Tyler Boatwright ran for 159 yards and two touchdowns in the Raiders victory over Montgomery on Friday night
