The eighth-seeded J.F. Kennedy High School football team was limited to a touchdown in a 56-7 loss to top-seeded Middletown South in the opening round of the North 2 Group IV playoffs on Friday night.

The Mustangs rebounded from a 1-9 season to qualify for the playoffs for the third time in the past four years.

They entered the postseason on a three-game losing streak and having dropped four of their last five.
