GMC Tournament first round

Colonia 2, Bishop Ahr 1 (6-5 PKs): Jessica Malinchok scored the winning penalty kick to lead No. 19 Colonia (8-10) in an upset. Melanie Albanese tied the game 1-1 in the 63rd minute. Kelly Silva made 13 saves. For No. 3 Bishop Ahr (13-4), Jill Balsamo scored in the 10th minute. Colonia will travel to Spotswood in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

East Brunswick 3, Timothy Christian 0: Katrina Nguyen-Demary led second-seeded East Brunswick (12-2-2) with one goal and two assists. Victoria Contstantin and Jessica Saccenti also scored. Jessica DiMatteo and Maria Salib added assists. Lauren Krinsky finished with one save. For No. 15 Timothy Christian (15-3), Sierra Thomas made 15 saves. East Brunswick will play Wardlaw-Hartridge in the quarterfinals.

Spotswood 2, Monroe 1: Erin Thuring scored with four minutes remaining to lead No. 11 Spotswood (10-5). Thuring finished with two goals. Carolina Fernandez had two assists. Lizzie Vignuolo made 11 saves. For No. 6 Monroe (6-10-1, Tina Gasko scored.

Piscataway 2, Edison 0: Naytasha Spruiel and Kaitlyn Zeeb led fourth-seeded Piscataway (9-5-1) with one goal apiece. Janiah Lambert and Lela Allen added assists. Isabella Caracta finished with three saves. Kendra Candido made three saves for No. 13 Edison (13-6). Piscataway with host No. 5 Sayreville in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Old Bridge 1, South Plainfield 0: Dominique Lovallo scored on an assist from Angela Pagiazitis to lead top-seeded Old Bridge (11-3-1) over No. 17 South Plainfield (6-12). Brianna Slover made 16 saves for the Tigers. Old Bridge will host No. 9 South Brunswick in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Sayreville 3, Woodbridge 0: Brianna Barbosa and Eliza David each recorded one goal and one assist for fifth-seeed Sayreville (11-4). Stephanie DeOcampo also scored. Kaitlin Esposito chipped in one assist. Jordan Wilson finished with 14 saves. For No. 12 Woodbridge (12-6), Jordan Vazquez made 19 saves.

Wardlaw-Hartridge 2, Metuchen 1: Sofia Ambrosio scored the game-winner with 11 minutes left to lift 10th-seeded Wardlaw-Hartridge (9-9). Jane Anderson-Schmitt finished with a goal and one assist. Mia Reyes and Mia Sutton each had assists. Hannah Yates made eight saves. For No. 7 Metuchen (11-6), Kerri Farrell scored on an assist from Kendall Schuchman.

South Brunswick 4, Highland Park 0: Adrianna Mouzakis led ninth-seeded South Brunswick (8-5-1) with two goals and one assist. Francesca Dimitrakis tallied one goal and one assist. Brielle Eder also scored. Cathlene Kaseta and Meghan Hallihan each finished with one assist. Sydney Schneider made seven saves. For No. 8 Highland Park (14-3), Ester Adiv made 12 saves.

Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament semifinals

Hunterdon Central 2, Sparta 1: Luciana Zullo and Brie Pavol scored as second-seeded Hunterdon Central (13-1-1) advanced to the H/W/S Tournament final. Corinna Zullo added two assists. Ava Gillikin made three saves.

Immaculata 3, Rutgers Prep 1: Michelle Antico, Nicole Kaplan and Emma Jaskolski all scored for Immaculata (3-8-2). Naiya Jefferson, Jenna Kozic and Juliet Lardieri added assists. Chloe Martin made 15 saves. For Rutgers Prep (9-6-1), Grace Bancone scored.

Bernards 2, Bloomfield 1 (OT): Claudia Prandoni scored on an assist from Charlotte Grimm six minutes into overtime to lead Bernards (11-6). Katelin Brito also scored. Susan Oberschmidt made four saves.

Gov. Livingston 2, Union Catholic 0: Ashley Echeverry and Emily Pires scored for Governor Livingston (4-10-2). Izzy DiDario finished with six saves for Union Catholic (3-11-1).
