1. Monroe (11-1-1): Monroe has won its last three games since a 0-0 tie against Old Bridge on Oct. 1. In those three games, the Falcons have scored 20 goals, allowed only one and posted two shutouts. With the Greater Middlesex County Tournament seeding meeting approaching, Monroe has a strong chance of landing the No. 1 seed. The Falcons close out the week against Shore on Thursday and will face St. Joseph for the second time this season on Saturday.

2. New Brunswick (9-2-2): New Brunswick saw a four-game win streak come to an end with a 2-1 loss to Old Bridge on Saturday. The Zebras bounced back with a 4-1 win over Piscataway and will look to get back on track with games against J.P. Stevens on Thursday and Perth Amboy on Saturday.

3. South Brunswick (8-4): South Brunswick has gone 2-2 in its last four games, with wins against Perth Amboy and East Brunswick, and falling to New Brunswick and St. Joseph. The Vikings will have a tough test against a streaking Old Bridge on Thursday and will travel to Piscataway on Saturday.

4. Old Bridge (7-4-2): Old Bridge has gone 3-0-1 in its last four games, with wins coming against St. Joseph, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy and a 0-0 tie against Monroe, a team the Knights lost to 2-1 on Sept. 10. Old Bridge has continued to improve as the season has gone on and will look to test its mettle against South Brunswick on Thursday and J.P. Stevens on Saturday.

5. South Plainfield (12-3): South Plainfield had a 10-game win streak snapped with a 4-0 loss to Union County powerhouse Westfield on Saturday but hit restart with a win over J.F. Kennedy on Tuesday. The Tigers have two regular season games left, against Carteret on Thursday and against another Union County power Scotch Plains-Fanwood on Monday.

6. St. Joseph (6-4-2): St. Joseph has also gone 2-2 in its last four games, falling to New Brunswick and Old Bridge, but bounced back with victories over South Brunswick and J.P. Stevens. The Falcons have a couple of tough games coming up, as they host East Brunswick on Thursday and travel to Monroe on Saturday.

7. East Brunswick (6-6-1): The Bears are yet another team that has posted a 2-2 record in their last four games, with wins coming against Piscataway and Perth Amboy, but suffered tough losses to New Brunswick (in overtime) and South Brunswick. East Brunswick will travel to St. Joseph on Thursday and will host Notre Dame on Saturday.

8. North Brunswick (9-3-2): The Raiders have fared well in their last four games, going 3-0-1 against Edison, J.F. Kennedy and Carteret, and posting a 1-1 tie against Robbinsville. North Brunswick will travel to Woodbridge on Thursday and Spotswood on Saturday.

9. Edison (6-6-2): Edison has hit a skid as of late, going 0-3-1 in its last four games. The Eagles have one regular season game left, at Colonia on Thursday.

10. South River (10-2-1): South River has gone 4-0-1 in its last five games, beating Metuchen, Highland Park, Middlesex and Wardlaw-Hartridge and tying Carteret 3-3. The Rams will face Colonia on Oct. 25 and will host Delaware Valley on Oct. 28.
