Seawright-Jeffery stars as New Brunswick football defeats Edison

Senior quarterback Jah’Bree Seawright-Jeffery completed 12 of 20 passes for 351 yards and five touchdowns while leading the New Brunswick High School football team to a 39-14 victory over Edison on Friday night.

Kadas Reams caught 6 passes for 175 yards and four touchdowns, while Curtis Revan had three receptions for 75 yards and a score.

Sophomore sensation Dylan Johnson rushed for 115 yards including an 82-yard scoring run for the Zebras (2-4), who won for the second time in their last three games.

Seawright-Jeffrey also starred on defense, recording 11 tackles and an interception. Teammate German Pimentel posted a game-high 12 tackles.

Edison running back James Stewart carried 18 times for 202 yards and two touchdowns. He scored on runs of 44 and 2 yards.

Justin Turner completed 9 of 26 passes for 92 yards for the Eagles (1-3-1). Keanu Reed (40 yards) and Nick Yanik (35 yards) were Edison’s leading receivers.

Seawright-Jeffery threw scoring passes of 18, 44, 53, 50 and 47 yards.
