Tahjmere O’Neal completed 12 of 23 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns to help the Perth Amboy High School football team, which has been a strong second-half of the season team over the past two years, snap a four-game losing streak with a 28-0 victory over J.P. Stevens on Friday night.

The start of the game was delayed by a power outage, but the Panthers (1-4) had little difficulty lighting up the scoreboard.

Linebacker Deonte Freeman continued his stellar play, anchoring a defense that pitched its first shutout since Sept. 11, 2010 with 11 tackles. Erik Negron chipped in with eight tackles including three sacks. Shayking Reynolds contributed an interception to the win.

The Hawks (1-4) were limited to 61 yards passing and 51 yards rushing.
