FOOTBALL: Brazicki and Cardosa run Bishop Ahr past Dunellen

Andrew Brazicki continued to run over opponents, amassing 131 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries as the Bishop Ahr High School football team scored 31 unanswered second-half points en route to a 39-8 victory over Dunellen on Friday night.

The scored was knotted 8-8 at halftime after Dunellen consumed nine minutes of the scoreboard clock with an impressive scoring drive and subsequent two-point conversion.

Christian Cardosa carried six times for 109 yards and added two scores for Bishop Ahr, which improved to 3-2. John Edwards contributed a 44-yard touchdown run to the victory, while teammate Josh Minnick had 10 carries for 35 yards and a score.

Bishop Ahr rookie Luke Vizzoni continued to impress on defense, registering 11 tackles, including two for a loss. Brazicki and Toure’ Simon combined for 13 tackles. Brazicki also had a sack.

The Destroyers fell to 0-4.
