Bound Brook 34, Brearley 7: Joe Warren scored an 80-yard touchdown and finished with 137 total yards rushing as Bound Brook (6-1) clinched the Mid-State 38 Union Division title. Nigel Wilson scored twice, on runs of 10 and 15 yards. Josh Ejiogu scored on a four-yard run. Tyson Amaker caught a 20-yard pass for a TD from quarterback Alex Navarro, who finished 6-of-9 for 93 yards. Bound Brook finished with 250 total rushing yards.

Somerville 50, A.L. Johnson 6: Nick Couzzi finished 24-of-35 for 275 yards and three touchdowns as Somerville improved to 7-0. Couzzi also had 13 carries for 95 yards and one touchdown. Chris Ciempola had six catches for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Nas Petties-Jackson paced the Pioneers receiving corps, grabbing seven balls for 64 yards and a score. Ahmad Lee, Jason Curau and Keyshawn Newton also reached the end zone in the victory.

Phillipsburg 14, Montgomery 6: Montgomery fell to 3-4 in a defensive battle against Phillipsburg (4-2). Quarterback Michael Patrizio completed 24 of 37 passing attempts and racked up 177 throwing yards with one touchdown for the Cougars. Patrizio also led the team in rushing as he accumulated 39 yards on the ground on six attempts. Malachi Clemons added 16 rushing yards while Messiah Devine rushed for 12 yards. Daniel Young led the Cougars in receiving with three receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. Kyle Kuminski had five catches for 54 yards while Ryan Cashman added 27 yards on two catches.

Ridge 34, Union 21: R.J. Milligan scored two rushing touchdowns to help lead Ridge (6-1). Reed Handabaka and Dan Skea also scored. Nolan Hughes kicked a 40-yard field goal and a 30-yard field goal, as well as four extra points for the Red Devils.

Manville 47, Marist 12: TJ Caswell rushed 21 times for 252 yards and four touchdowns to power Manville (5-2). Jameer Campbell rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown. Shane Demeter and Nick Firth also scored for the Mustangs. Dylan Whitenight scored a two-point conversion and Caswell connected on three extra points. Steve Garcia finished with eight tackles and one sack. Whitenight and Michael Tyle each had six tackles and one sack for Manville. Troy Oset had five tackles and one sack in the victory.

Hunterdon Central 30, Warren Hills 0: Blake Leeds caught two passes of 17 and 52 yards from quarterback Christian Shaw to lead Hunterdon Central (4-3). Shaw also threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Joe Metcalf. Devin Trechock scored on a one-yard run.

Bridgewater-Raritan 27, Franklin 0: Quarterback Nick Attanasio led Bridgewater-Raritan (7-0) with three total touchdowns in the Panthers’ shutout victory over Franklin (0-6). Attanasio threw for 128 yards on 11 of 13 passing attempts and threw one touchdown to Eric Laputka for a 10 yard score.  Attanasio also added two rushing touchdowns as he racked up 83 yards on eight rushing attempts. Ricky Tate led the Panthers in receiving with 55 yards. Chilke Nwanko was a force on the defensive side of the ball where he tallied 15 tackles and forced a fumble.

Cranford 49, Gov. Livingston 7: Turner Haddad scored the only touchdown of the game for Gov. Livingston (2-4) with an 11 yard touchdown run. Will Nicholson set up the touchdown with a 69 yard run but following the score that brought the Highlanders within seven, Cranford (5-2) was able to hold Gov. Livingston scoreless the rest of the night.

Delaware Valley 31, Hillside 6: Joseph Beljan and Sean Lessig each scored on interception returns and the Delaware Valley defense held Hillside to just a third-quarter touchdown as the Terriers improved to 4-3. Lessig also kicked a 30-yard field goal and was 4-for-4 booting extra points for Del Val, which also got a three-yard TD run from Nick Perno and a nine-yard Jihad Best-to-Joseph Stucky scoring pass.

New Providence 11, Roselle Park 0: Michael Barletta caught a 45-yard touchdown pass from Jackson Barletta and New Providence added a 20-yard field goal from Patrick Trezza, as the Pioneers notched their first victory, improving to 1-5. Joseph Nave ran in the two-point conversion after Barletta’s first-quarter score.

Summit 46, North Plainfield 42: North Plainfield led by 17 points entering the fourth quarter before Summit rallied to send the Canucks to 1-5. Summit improved to 6-1.

Linden 21, Watchung Hills 14: Linden scored at the end of the third quarter and thwarted a Watchung Hills drive at the end of the fourth quarter to send the Warriors to 1-6.
