Barnwell rushes Piscataway football team to victory

Elijah Barnwel rushed for 150 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries as the Piscataway High School football team rolled to a 51-7 victory over Monroe on Friday night.

Sophomore safety Brevin Donerson, who earlier this season returned two interceptions for scores, posted his third defensive touchdown of the year for Piscataway with a 38-yard fumble return.

Monroe was outgained 299 to 241 in yards from scrimmage. The Chiefs benefited from excellent field position all night, scoring on drives of 17, 54, 38, 20, 38, 52 and 28 yards.

Ibn Robinson had two catches for 40 yards including a 19-yard touchdown reception from Piscataway quarterback Danny Haus (5 of 11 for 63 yards).

The Chiefs recorded three interceptions. Nasir James, Ronald Brooks and Josh Boyd each had a pick. Michael Stalenyj booted a 41-yard field goal for Piscataway. Backup quarterback Joe Hatcher completed 4 of 6 passes for 13 yards.

Kaylon Bradley rushed for 105 yards on 14 carries for Monroe. He scored on a 70-yard run. Carlton Coleman carried 13 times for 86 yards including a 40-yard run on the game’s final play.
