Boys Soccer: Bridgewater-Raritan earns No. 1 seed in Somerset County Tournament
The Somerset County Boys Soccer Tournament was seeded on Wednesday night, and Bridgewater-Raritan garnered the No. 1 seed.
Gill St. Bernard's earned the No. 2 seed, defending co-champion Pingry was named the third seed, and Bernards rounded out the top four. Those four seeds earned automatic byes into the quarterfinals.
Last year's co-champion Montgomery earned the fifth seed, North Plainfield the sixth seed, Somerville was named the seventh seed, Watchung Hills was given the eighth seed, the ninth seed went to Hillsborough. Those five teams earned byes into the second round.
The first round needs to be played by this Saturday, and the second round needs to be completed by Oct. 8. The quarterfinals are slated for Oct. 15, the semifinals are Oct. 22 and the championship is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 29 at 2:30 p.m. at Torpey Field in Bridgewater.
