Linden 38, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 7: Chris Heisey connected with Jack Lynch on a 22-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to account for Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s scoring. Jumar Etkins paced the Raiders (0-2) with 53 yards on 12 carries. Max Toll converted the extra point. For Linden (1-1), quarterback Joey Krempa completed 15-of-19 passes for 150 yards and one touchdown. Kyree Rodgers caught three passes for 41 yards and one touchdown. Jayden Johnson rushed eight times for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Zion Marshall rushed four times for 44 yards and one touchdown. Brandon George finished with 85 yards on nine carries and one touchdown.

Roselle 45, Delaware Valley 6: Senior Ken Henderson scored on a three-yard run to get Delaware Valley on the board. The Terriers fall to 0-2 and will play host to New Providence next Friday night.

Union 35, Plainfield 0: Antwan Spencer recorded eight tackles and grabbed an interception for Plainfield, but the Cardinals fell to 0-2.

South River 6, Middlesex 0: Michael DeSantis rushed five times for 25 yards and one touchdown to lead South River (1-1). Billy Drum rushed 23 times for 79 yards. Travis Thomas caught three passes for 28 yards. Quarterback DeSantis completed 10-of-20 passes for 82 yards. For Middlesex (0-2), John Kressbach and Tom Rau each rushed for 30 yards.

Hillside 37, New Providence 16: Jackson Barletta threw a touchdown pass and ran for another, but New Providence fell at Hillside. Patrick Trezza caught a 10-yard touchdown pass for the Pioneers (0-2).
