Spotswood 7, South River 0: Matt Vento spun a complete game, five-hit shutout for Spotswood, moving the Chargers to within one win of claiming a share of back-to-back GMC Blue Division titles. Spotswood (13-4 overall, 10-1 in GMC Blue) must defeat New Brunswick on Monday afternoon for a piece of the title. Middlesex (11-1 in GMC Blue) holds a half-game lead and has completed divisional play. Saturday, Vento improved to 3-1 with five strikeouts and didn't allow a runner to reach third. He also had three hits, scored twice and drove in a run. Nick Vincelli finished 3-for-3 and scored twice, while Evan Scarduffa went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. For South River (8-11, 4-8), Nick Razzano went 3-for-3 and Brandon Szerzyn and Hunter Nemeth each had a hit. Szerzyn now has 99 in his career.

Wall Township 9, East Brunswick 0: Wall Township scored in the bottom of the first and five times in the second to break open the game and hand East Brunswick (13-4) a non-conference loss. The Crimson Knights sealed it with three runs in the sixth. Mike Sutton had two of East Brunswick's three hits. Wall's Trey Dombroski allowed three walks and four strikeouts in the shutout win.

South River 17, Henry Hudson 0: Brandon Szerszen smacked a two-run home and finished with four hits and four RBIs to lead South River in a non-conference win. Michael DeSantis went 3-for-4 and scored four runs for the Rams (8-10), while RJ Fischer, Nick Razzano and Tyler Szerszen each had two hits apiece for the Rams. Joey Leviton earned the win on the mound.

Rahway 5, J.F. Kennedy 1: Zack Schneider went 3-for-4 and Anthony Hein added two hits in a losing effort for J.F. Kennedy (3-15) in a non-conference game. Tyler Sharfetz had an RBI, driving in Hein in the top of the first inning. Rahway scored twice in the bottom half of the inning and added three runs in the bottom of the fifth for a 5-1 lead. TJ Rivera, Lou Truppa, Vinnie Powers and Chris Russo also had hits for the Mustangs.
