Basketball: Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament brackets

The boys and girls Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Basketball Tournaments were seeded on Wednesday afternoon. 

For the boys, Phillipsburg earned the No. 1 seed and Sparta was awarded the second seed. Both teams earn a bye into the quarterfinals.

Hackettstown, Newton, Hunterdon Central, North Hunterdon, Voorhees and Pope John rounded out the top eight teams, which earn a bye into the second round. 

For the girls, defending champion High Point was awarded the No. 1 seed while Warren Hills was named the No. 2 seed. Both teams earned byes into the quarterfinals.

Kittatinny, Sparta, Lenape Valley, Delaware Valley, Hunterdon Central and Newton rounded out the top eight, which earn byes into the second round. 

The first round is scheduled to be played Saturday, with the second round slated for Saturday, Feb. 3. The quarterfinals are set for Feb. 10 while the semifinals will be Feb. 17 at noon and 2 p.m. at Warren Hills High School. The final is set for Friday, Feb. 23 in a doubleheader at Sparta. The girls will play at 5 p.m. and the boys at 7 p.m.
