BOYS BASKETBALL

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 61, Cranford 33: Ryan Muench scored 17 points as Scotch Plains-Fanwood broke open the game with a 21-4 third quarter. Jack Brady added 11 points for the Raiders (15-2) and Dwight Laylor and John Petris each scored seven points.

Perth Amboy Tech 64, Wardlaw-Hartridge 57 (OT): Kelvin Maria scored 20 points with five rebounds as Perth Amboy Tech won in overtime. Carlos Morla added 11 points and 14 rebounds for Perth Amboy Tech (13-5) and Aaron Batista had six points and nine rebounds. Kelvin Diaz scored eight points in the win. Wardlaw-Hartridge forced overtime with a 16-14 fourth quarter. Ryan Petela led the Rams (2-15) with 27 points, including five 3-pointers, and Shalon Wallace scored 22 points. 

Linden 59, Trenton Catholic 53: Tavon Jones 29 points 11 rebounds to lead Linden (13-4). Myles Ruth added 12 points and five assists, while Mikey Watkins had 11 points and four steals, putting him six points away from 1,000 career points. Additionally, Jaylin Cooper-Reid chipped in 10 rebounds and four points.

Gill St. Bernard's 69, Hillsborough 54: Paul Mulcahy and William Yarbrough each scored 20 points for Gill St. Bernard's (15-3), which jumped to a 22-9 lead after the first quarter. William Soucie added 15 points and Alex Schachne and John Yoss each scored seven points. Matt Moore scored 18 points for Hillsborough (5-12) and Justin Brown had 12 points and eight rebounds. Tim Yost added five assists and six points, while Jackson Parham had seven points and four assists.

Montgomery 51, Immaculata 48: Riley Greene scored 20 points to lead Montgomery (12-6). Rohan Prakash added seven points and Kevin Fromelt and Joe Elicone each scored six points. Jared Chambliss put up 19 points to lead Immaculata (7-10) and TJ Schneider scored 12 points.

Franklin 49, Bridgewater-Raritan 48: DeWarren Watkins led Franklin (6-10) with 18 points. Syed Athar finished with 12 points. Aaron Gao recorded 20 points for Bridgewater-Raritan (8-8).

East Brunswick 45, South Brunswick 38: Joe Sampson and Xavier Fitzgerald each score 10 points to lead East Brunswick (9-8). Travis Cumber added seven points. Akhil Edekar scored 13 points to lead the Vikings (0-15) and Justin Carbone scored eight points.

St. Mary (Eliz.) 67, Westfield 50: Luke Spellman led Westfield (4-15) with 12 points. Dylan Jackson and Mark Natiello each scored eight points. 

Colonia 45, New Brunswick 36: Connor Bevilacqua scored 15 points and Kristian Chapmann added 11 points to lead Colonia. Luke Valeriano added seven points for the Patriots (9-8) and Chad Baker and Frank Lehmann each scored six points. Ahyan Brown-Miller scored 12 points to lead New Brunswick (5-11) and Johenny Peralta had six points. 

South Hunterdon 63, North Plainfield 51: Eric Myers finished with 21 points to pace South Hunterdon (12-6). Joe Armstrong recorded 14 points and Quenton Beyha added 12 points. For North Plainfield (8-9), Tony Godwin led with 22 points. Sean Taylor chipped in 20 points. 

North Brunswick 51, Edison 47: Delano Whitfield scored 14 points for North Brunswick (8-8). Chernoh Barrie added 12 points and Jordan Salisbury scored 11 points. Abu Kaikai had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds for Edison (12-9) and Christian Wantong had 10 points and five rebounds.

Summit 65, Gov. Livingston 48: Tyler McCulloch scored 18 points for Governor Livingston (8-8). Matthew Schuman added 16 points. 

Piscataway 68, Monroe 54: Antonio Chandler finished with 19 points to pace Piscataway (16-2). Keshawn Grant recorded 14 points and Jordan Davidson chipped in 13 points. Mattias Arrindell added 11 points. For Monroe (5-13), Luke Patel scored a game-high 24 points. Sashank Sindhia contributed 11 points. 

Bernards 45, Pingry 33: Owen Loughlin scored 12 points for Bernards (14-3) and Alex Kotwick added 11 points. Phil Mahlik chipped in seven points and Kyle Levine and Ryan Tantleff each scored six points.

Rutgers Prep 55, Ridge 46: Jonah Charles had 12 points and eight rebounds to lead a balanced attack for Rutgers Prep (10-5). Nahshon Battle added nine points and six rebounds and Nate Lyles, Zach Martini and Trey Patterson each scored seven points. Ridge fell to 8-9.

North Hunterdon 69, Phillipsburg 65: Michael DelSantro scored 17 points and Paul Woolhouse had 16 points to lead North Hunterdon. Wes Reinage added 14 points for the Lions (10-6). 

Belvidere 66, Manville 45: Nasir Peek recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, five steals, two assists and one block for Manville (3-13). Antonio McFadden finished with nine points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals. 

Delaware Valley 46, Bound Brook 36: Joe Cansfield had a triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to pace Delaware Valley, while Brandon Bernhardt had 17 points and six rebounds. Jack Skibinski added 12 points for the Terriers (9-8), Tylor Blake grabbed 10 rebounds and Vinny Giordano had nine boards. Jassiem Moore scored 10 points for Bound Brook (9-8) and Jason Cuba had nine points. 

St. Joseph 60, Perth Amboy 44: Luke Fresco scored 14 points to lead St. Joseph (15-3), while Tyree Taganeca-Ford added nine points and Howard McBurnie scored eight points. Joshua Cabezudo led Perth Amboy (7-12) with 16 points and Joseph Duran scored seven points.

Woodbridge 70, J.F. Kennedy 53: Curtis Nesbit led Woodbridge (10-7) with a game-high 27 points. Kesean Glover scored 11 points. Kyree Henry and Kemari Persol each added 10 points. Rohan Chakke finished with 16 points for J.F. Kennedy (0-18). 

Somerville 53, Warren Hills 48: Chris Elwood scored 15 points to spark Somerville (5-12). Ethan Hilliman finished with 14 points. Kevin Sokol contributed 13 points. 

Old Bridge 46, J.P. Stevens 36: Mike Oliva led Old Bridge (13-5) with 20 points. Julius Belton scored 16 points. Solomon Smith finished with 15 points for J.P. Stevens (8-9). 

Chatham 72, Voorhees 70 (2OT): Kyle Kokoskie recorded 19 points and nine assists for Voorhees (12-3). Joey Capone added 17 points and Eric Schroeter scored 11 points. 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Woodbridge 63, J.F. Kennedy 14: Brooke Timinski had 21 points, five rebounds and four assists to lead Woodbridge (11-6). Skylar De Vogd added 12 points and five rebounds and Kameron De Vogd had six points, seven rebounds, five blocks and four assists. Nia Rosato chipped in nine points and Tamirah Gibbs scored six points. Olivia Sims led the Mustangs (2-16) with six points. 

New Brunswick 42, Colonia 37: Nakima Lue had 13 points with eight steals and four assists as New Brunswick pulled out the win after it was tied 29-29 entering the fourth quarter. Aniyah Thomas led the Zebras (7-9) with 15 rebounds and had eight assists, six points and five steals, while Mariela Hernandez had 10 rebounds and six assists. Annabel Espinal added six points and six rebounds. Gianna Reilly had 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists to lead Colonia (3-13) and Caitlyn Hroncich had nine points and five rebounds. 

Bishop Ahr 57, Sayreville 45: Megan Herka scored 23 (11 free throws) points to lead Bishop Ahr (19-1) and Emma Boslet added 11 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, five blocks and four steals. Additionally, Sara Decker chipped in six points, seven rebounds and three steals and Melanie Mallari scored eight points.Serina Townes led all scorers with 17 points and 17 rebounds for Sayreville (11-7) and Jackie Ventricelli had 10 points and eight rebounds.

East Brunswick 47, South Brunswick 46: Nicole Johnson scored 14 points and Brianna Sliwinski and Lauren Krinsky each scored 10 points to lift East Brunswick (15-1). Alyssa Bondi added nine points. Luese Ufuah (seven rebounds, four assists) and Onoseta Ufuah (five rebounds) each scored 17 points for South Brunswick (9-8). Alexis Adams added eight points and six rebounds.

North Brunswick 39, South Plainfield 29: Kayla Scher scored 13 points and Cynthia Williams added 11 points to lead North Brunswick (9-8). Khayla Flemmings added seven points for the Raiders. Mackenzie O'Brien led South Plainfield (7-11) with 10 points and seven rebounds and Tori Euston scored seven. 

Piscataway 65, Monroe 38: LaNiya Miller had 21 points and five rebounds to lift Piscataway (16-2). Ariel Jenkins added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Chiefs and Saniya Myers chipped in eight points and seven rebounds. Additionally, Baiylee Barnes grabbed six rebounds and Amari Nolan had five boards. Madison Carey led Monroe (5-12) with 12 points and Angela Oskierko had 11 points.

J.P. Stevens 57, Old Bridge 40: Kiarah Turner (six rebounds) and Megan Duffy (eight rebounds) each scored 16 points to lead J.P. Stevens. Kayla Gatling chipped in 13 points and rebounds for the Hawks (12-6) and Disha Prabhudesai had nine points and eight rebounds.

Edison 58, Perth Amboy 28: Samira Sargent led Edison with 20 points and four steals and Lourdes Marasigan added 15 points. Kyierah Toney grabbed 10 rebounds for the Eagles (8-10), while Ciana McQuiller had eight boards and Angella Consolazio had seven rebounds. Zaniera James led Perth Amboy (1-14) with 15 points and Angelica Holguin scored nine points.

Timothy Christian 33, Technology 32: Danielle Dyer finished with 10 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals for Timothy Christian (12-7). Joshlyn Brown recorded six points and eight rebounds. Sierra Thomas added six points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Rayza Michelen chipped in six points, four rebounds and two steals. 

ICE HOCKEY

Hillsborough 7, Montgomery 3: Jason Wolff scored five goals and Lleyton Soares had four assists to lead Hillsborough, which sealed the win with a 3-1 third period. Danny Volonnino had 20 saves for the Raiders (8-9-4), while Domenick Mazzaferro (two assists) and Brock Forrest each scored a goal. Additionally, Jude Kurtas and Matt Palmer each chipped in three assists and Mike Jandoli and Keegan McGowan had an assist apiece. Scoring goals for Montgomery (3-14) were Jackson Devine, Matt Farley and Michael Hrudowsky, Dylan Gerdes recorded 31 saves.
