ICE HOCKEY

Princeton 4, South Brunswick 2: Mason Jenne scored twice for South Brunswick (8-7). Matthew Kean and Thomas Van Pelt each had one assist. Clayton Romanok made 26 saves. 

Newark East Side 7, Gill St. Bernard's 2: Edward McCarthy finished with two goals for Gill St. Bernard's (2-12-1). Liam Jones had one assist. Matt Cooper made 18 saves. 

Montclair 2, Gov. Livingston 1: Carson Wahlers scored for Governor Livingston (4-12-2) and Nick Papa made 29 saves. 

St. Joseph (Met.) 5, Montclair Kimberley 1: Mike Rocco led St. Joseph (9-7-1) with a hat trick and one assist. Dylan Castello finished with one goal and one assist. Ryan Ozmanic also scored. Nick Freda, Corey Neves and Andrew Castello each had one assist. Eddie Kaiven and Clay Whittington combined for 18 saves. 

Old Bridge 9, Edison 2: Lukas Carney recorded a hat trick and one assist for Old Bridge (7-8-3). Peter Hernandez finished with two goals and four assists. Nick Skliarenko added two goals and two assists. Heather Figueroa had one goal and one assist. Alex Sech totaled seven assists. Dylan Schroeder made two saves and Matt Rosalie made nine saves. For Edison (0-17-2), Christian Osma posted one goal and one assist. Steven Rossi also scored. Jake DeVito had one assist.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Spotswood 48, Middlesex 41 (OT): Maddie Hellerich finished with 15 points, three rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks as Spotswood (13-4) dealt Middlesex its first loss of the season. Erin Malin recorded a double-double with 10 points, 17 rebounds, three assists, four blocks and two steals. For Middlesex (16-1), Gianna Canavescio recorded 11 points, one rebound and one block. Brianna Montajes totaled 10 points, one rebound and one assist. Olivia Robel contributed 13 rebounds, eight steals, seven points, two assists and one block.

South River 61, Dunellen 37: Ashley Fischer recorded a double-double for South River (12-6) with 20 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal. Tara Beachem finished with 16 points, two assists, two steals, one rebound and one block. Chloe Cassidy posted 15 points and four rebounds for Dunellen (9-8). Erin Barnett added six points, six rebounds and one steal. 

Carteret 60, Metuchen 40: Amazey Pope-Williams recorded a double-double for Carteret (12-7) with 22 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and one assist. Taija'Ney McCollum totaled 12 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one steal. Isabella Silva added 11 points, six assists, four steals and three rebounds. Sam Antin had a double-double for Metuchen (3-13) with 13 points, 13 rebounds, two blocks and one steal. Michaela Kochy posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Chase Klavon chipped in 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. 

Perth Amboy Tech 35, Wardlaw-Hartridge 12: Eliza Arocho led Perth Amboy (9-6) with 14 points. Daisy Arocho scored 10 points. For Wardlaw-Hartridge (), Audrey Vu finished with seven rebounds, three points, two steals and one assist. Nadia Valcourt recorded four points, three rebounds, three blocks, three steals and one assist. Kristyn Smith added seven rebounds, three points and one assist. 

Calvary Christian 39, Somerset Tech 38: Anna Ramos recorded a double-double for Somerset Tech (7-7) with 16 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Kala Wright finished with seven points, seven rebounds, five blocks and three steals. 

East Brunswick Tech 33, Woodbridge Academy 32 (OT): Grace D'Amato led East Brunswick Tech (3-12) with 10 points. Lindsey Kuhlthau scored nine points. Tamera Hutchinson led Woodbridge Academy (3-11) with 11 points, six rebounds, four steals and one assist. Chelsea Lopez finished with 11 rebounds, four points and one steal.

Timothy Christian 29, South Amboy 26: Sierra Thomas finished with nine points, six rebounds, six steals and one assist for Timothy Christian (11-7). Joshlyn Brown recorded six points, six rebounds and two steals. Danielle Dyer added six points, six steals and four rebounds. For South Amboy (5-12), Kelly Mihalecko posted eight points, eight rebounds, one assist and one steal. Julie Olivieri chipped in 13 rebounds, five points, six blocks and one assist. 

Highland Park 30, Mother Seton 22: Uchechi Odikanawa recorded 13 rebounds, two points, three steals and three blocks for Highland Park (1-15). Aiya Underwood totaled 11 rebounds, four steals, two assists and one block. 

BOYS BASKETBALL

Spotswood 69, Middlesex 65: Abdullah Nieskens scored a game-high 27 points to pace Spotswood (11-8). Matt Vento scored 15 points. Vincent Guardiola finished with 14 points and Justin Dekovics added 11 points. For Middlesex (10-8), Jake Robel scored 25 points. John Dickey recorded 15 points. Tyler Ha chipped in 11 points. 

Carteret 62, Metuchen 57 (OT): Isaiah Daniels-Porter led Carteret (15-4) with 21 points. Jahlil Nix finished with 14 points. Timothy Ellis added 11 points. Riley Watkins recorded 12 points for Metuchen (6-12). Sohan Ullal recorded 10 points. 

Piscataway Tech 73, Highland Park 42: Branden Barnes recorded a double-double for Piscataway Tech (14-4) with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Chris Zambonino added 20 points, including six 3-pointers. 

Dunellen 75, East Brunswick Tech 37: Tyje Kelton recorded a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and six steals for Dunellen (11-7). Alex Gibney scored a career-high 14 points and added five rebounds, one assist and one steal. Drew Johnson finished with 12 points, four rebounds, five steals and one block. Paadi Amponsah and Jordon Horowitz each scored 10 points for East Brunswick Tech (3-18).

Bishop Ahr 58, South Plainfield 49: Rashan Ruff recorded a double-double for Bishop Ahr (13-4) with 13 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals. Alex Santiago finished with 18 points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal. Quadry Adams totaled 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal. Marquise Billingsley added 12 rebounds, four points, two assists and two steals. For South Plainfield (3-15), Joe Siegenthaler scored 20 points. Dondre Tate chipped in 13 points. 

New Providence 89, Roselle Park 59: Dylan Bedder led New Providence (13-3) with 29 points, nine rebounds, four steals and three assists. Brian Kelly finished with 20 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals. Greg Meyers added 10 points. 

New Brunswick 68, West Windsor-Plainsboro South 60: Ahyan Brown-Miller recorded 22 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals for New Brunswick (5-10). Kenneth Lebron finished with 13 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Tahjay Moore added eight points, eight rebounds and four blocks. 

Piscataway 58, Lakewood 46: Keshawn Grant scored 19 points to spark Piscataway (14-3). Jordan Davidson finished with 14 points and Antonio Chandler scored 10 points.
