GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bridgewater-Raritan 51, Gill St. Bernard’s 36: Meghan Ball netted 16 points and Teresa Wolak added 13 points and nine rebounds to send fifth-ranked Bridgewater-Raritan over No. 3 Gill St. Bernard’s. Katie Kowal contributed 11 points for the Panthers (5-1). Nisani Santiago led Gil St. Bernards with 14 points, while Caileigh Walsh chipped in 12 points and nine rebounds for the Knights (3-2).

Montgomery 58, North Hunterdon 31: Bria Johnson scored 17 points and Andrea Katramados notched 12 points and five rebounds to lead Montgomery (5-2). Maira Newsome scored eight points and Alexa Vaile added seven for North Hunterdon (2-4).

Pingry 44, Mount St. Mary 34: Kelsey Ransom posted her second triple-double and fifth double-double of the seven-game season, as Pingry moved to 5-2. Alyson Freeley tallied eight points and 15 rebounds for the Big Blue. Maria Jaeckel scored 11 points to pace Mount St. Mary (6-3).

Bound Brook 57, South Hunterdon 17: Cameron Ward scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Julia Nilsen and Arianna McCleod each contributed nine points to help fuel Bound Brook (6-1). Cortlyn Morris notched six points, seven blocks and 10 rebounds for the Crusaders. Lauren Baggitt scored eight points to pace South Hunterdon (1-7).

Watchung Hills 70, Immaculata 36: Julia Cunningham went for 23 points and eight rebounds and Alexa Santo dropped in 14 points as Watchung Hills stayed undefeated. Jayden Baltuch chipped in 11 points for the Warriors (7-0). Margo Cherry paced Immaculata with 12 points as the Spartans fell to 1-7.

Rutgers Prep 56, Hunterdon Central 36: Leilani Correa scored 18 points and nabbed five rebounds, and Chiara Tibbitt added 12 points and eight boards to lead Rutgers Prep (7-1). Jasmine Lyles chipped in nine points for the Argos. Danielle Cornetta scored nine points and Peyton McNally added eight point for Hunterdon Central (4-4).

Delaware Valley 50, Voorhees 44: Margaret Affeld went for 20 points and Amanda Kix kicked in 12 points to spark Delaware Valley (4-3). Kelsey Crawford donated 10 points to the Terriers’ cause. Colby Gavornik scored 11 points and Katie McCombs chipped in nine points for Voorhees (3-4).

Ridge 41, Hillsborough 29: Sophie Beneventine and Maddy West each netted 10 points to power Ridge (5-4). Jill Stanton scored six points to pace the Raiders (3-4).

Bernards 58, Manville 20: Jenna Whelan poured in 24 points and Jenna Scarpa delivered 12 points as Bernards moved to 5-2. Emma Vornlocker tallied eight points for Manville (3-5).

Belvidere 38, North Plainfield 28: Shahiyah O’Neal scored 10 points and Kelisha Chambers notched 10 rebounds to pace North Plainfield (2-5).

Sayreville 47, Monroe 40: Lyssandra Delacosta led all scorers with 19 points and Jaclyn Jurkiewicz posted nine points and seven rebounds to fuel Sayreville. Jackie Ventricelli chipped in seven points and five boards and Steph Van Note added 12 rebounds for the Bombers (5-3). Madison Carey scored 12 points and Emily Simonskevitz notched 10 points for Monroe (1-6).

East Brunswick Tech 32, Wardlaw-Hartridge 6: Brianna Rolon scored nine points and Grace D’Amato added eight points to fuel East Brunswick Tech (2-6). Audrey Vu grabbed seven rebounds for the Rams (0-6).

Piscataway Tech 67, Perth Amboy Tech 35: Isabella Sosa led a group of four double-digit scorers, netting 20 points, to send Piscataway Tech (6-2). Eumani Hollis (16 points), Taina Lugo (15) and Lexis Pikula (10) points helped the Raiders’ cause. Christina Crowe scored 12 points and Eliza Arocho tallied 11 points for Perth Amboy Tech (4-3).

Westfield 46, New Providence 35: Samantha Stravach tallied 15 points and eight rebounds and Molly Ryan notched a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards, adding six steals, as Westfield improved to 4-3. Alexa Boyle and Kaitlyn Chumskey each scored nine points for New Providence (2-7).

Plainfield 39 Elizabeth 28: Tahani Helms Ishmael put in 23 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to fuel Plainfield. J’daah Wyatt-Doyle added eight points and Raven Williams had nine boards for the Cardinals (4-4).

Old Bridge 53, Colonia 29: Rachel Kuhl scored 16 points and Jessica Alcorn added 15 to spark Old Bridge (3-4). Kailee Stanley scored eight points and Caitlyn Hroncich chipped in seven points for Colonia (2-4).

Timothy Christian 28, Highland Park 12: Sierra Thomas dropped in 15 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead Timothy Christian (6-3). Ariyana Samuel scored four points to pace Highland Park (0-8).

East Brunswick 58, Woodbridge 47: Nicole Johnson scored 16 points and Lauren Krinsky added 15 points to lead East Brunswick (7-0). Alyssa Bondi kicked in 14 points for the undefeated Bears. Kameron De Vogt notched 17 points, five rebounds and nine blocks and Brooke Timinski added 17 points, five boards and seven assists for the Barrons (5-3).

Bishop Ahr 74, Edison 60: Emma Boslet poured in 30 points and yanked down 19 rebounds as Bishop Ahr improved to 10-0. Megan Herka netted 14 points for the Trojans. Virginia Lagdameo scored 20 points and Daniella Marmol added 18 points to pace Edison (3-5). Lourdes Marasigan chipped in 1 points for the Eagles.

Franklin 80, Phillipsburg 49: Diamond Miller netted 33 points and Camilla Gray added 12 points to lift Franklin (2-4).

Oak Knoll 51, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 29: Brianna O’Brien scored 11 points to pace Scotch Plains-Fanwood (6-2).

Warren Hills 63, Somerville 61: Kelsey Mehan scored 20 points to lead all scorers for Somerville, while Christina Cernuto added 16 for the Pioneers (3-2).

BOYS BASKETBALL

Pingry 45, Belvidere 44: Mike Weber scored 14 points, including his 1,000th career point, for Pingry (2-6). Nathan Hefner finished with 16 points and won the game at the buzzer. 

Watchung Hills 48, Immaculata 44: Dan Pilsbury scored 12 points and Gavin DeFuria added 12 points to lead Watchung Hills (5-3). BJ Honius scored 17 points to pace Immaculata (2-5).

North Hunterdon 63, Montgomery 39: Michael DelSantro scored 16 points and Paul Woolhouse posted seven points and 10 rebounds for North Hunterdon (4-3).

Bound Brook 66, Warren Hills 48: Jayden Hill went for 26 points and 11 rebounds to help fuel Bound Brook (5-3). Kyle Frauenheim and RJ Frazier each chipped in 11 points for the Crusaders.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 59, Governor Livingston 42: Lamont Cruse notched 22 points and Tommy Drubulis added 19 points for Scotch Plains-Fanwood (6-2). Matthew Faller scored 16 points and Ryan Davey netted 12 points for Governor Livingston (3-4).

Perth Amboy Tech 66, Piscataway Tech 49: Carlos Morla scored 19 points and Mauricio Arias added 17 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Perth Amboy Tech (5-3).

Woodbridge 70, North Brunswick 65: Curtis Nesbit scored 25 points and Kemari Persol added 15 points to lead Woodbridge (5-2). Daniel Boateng netted 11 points in the victory. Avery Claggett tallied 21 points, Maneet Batra scored 19 and Chernoh Barried chipped in 12 for North Brunswick (2-4).

East Brunswick Tech 62, Wardlaw-Hartridge 42: Austin Forsythe and Shalom Wallace each posted 12 points and Zachary Weiss notched 10 points to lead Wardlaw-Hartridge (2-8). Paadi Amponsah scored 22 points and Dylan Stratton added 18 points for East Brunswick Tech (3-7).

Middlesex 76, South Amboy 29: Jake Robel and John Dickey each scored 18 points and Brad Kaplan added seven to fuel Middlesex. Kyle Gasiwski netted 11 points and Aidan Pelkey added nine for South Amboy.

Perth Amboy 63, South Brunswick 50: Josh Cabezudo scored 15 points and Alfeny Javier netted 12 points to deliver Perth Amboy. Emmanuel Laura chipped in 11 points for the Panthers (4-4). Devin Strickland notched 16 points and Kimani Daniel added 15 points for South Brunswick (0-7).

Metuchen 54, South Plainfield 52: Danny Petto scored 13 points and Riley Watkins and Sohan Ullal each added eight points to fuel Metuchen (3-6). Joe Sienhenthaler scored 18 points and Jalil Palmes chipped in 15 points for South Plainfield (2-6).

Rahway 61, Westfield 55: Zion Pendleton led Rahway (6-0) with 20 points while Keyshawn Cummings and Nick Galette added 12 points apiece. Matt Crowley paced Westfield (2-8) with 17 points.

Rutgers Prep 65, Hillsborough 52: Richie Greaves led Rutgers Prep (5-3) with 17 points, five steals, three assists and one rebound. Trey Patterson finished with 12 points, six rebounds and one steal. Nate Lyles added 12 pointss, five rebounds and two steals. For Hillsborough (3-4), Jackson Parham recorded 16 points, three rebounds, one block and one steal. Dante Walker contributed 13 points, one rebound and one assist. Justin Brown chipped in 10 points, three rebounds, one block and one steal. 

Colonia 62, New Brunswick 54: Luke Valeriano and Chad Baker each scored 14 points as Colonia (6-3) won its sixth straight game. Kristian Chapman finished with 13 points. Ahyan Brown-Miller led New Brunswick (2-5) with 25 points, five rebounds, five steals and three assists. Nymir Belk added 12 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Divine Hayes chipped in 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. 

Linden 66, Union 33: Tavon Jones recorded a double-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals for Linden (7-1). Mikey Watkins contributed 24 points, four rebounds and two steals. 

Old Bridge 68, J.F. Kennedy 31: Mike Oliva scored 20 points to pace Old Bridge (6-3). Ryan Delacuesta finished with 10 points. Dennis Howard led J.F. Kennedy (0-9) with nine points. 

New Providence 56, Oratory Prep 53: Greg Meyers led New Providence (6-1) with 13 points and two rebounds. Dylan Bedder finished with 11 points and eight rebounds. Brian Kelly chipped in 11 points, six rebounds, three steals and one assist. Sean Dillon added 11 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals. 

Voorhees 63, Delaware Valley 42: Wade Albore scored a game-high 22 points to lead Voorhees (6-1). Kyle Kokoskie finished with 12 points. For Delaware Valley (3-5), Tylor Blake scored 13 points. Brandon Bernhardt and Joe Cansfield each added 11 points. 

Union Catholic 64, Elizabeth 52: Ibn Lynn finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal for Union Catholic (7-3). Robert Miller contributed 16 points, two rebounds, three assists and one steal. Justin Archer added 15 points, seven rebounds and one steal. 

Gill St. Bernard's 84, Bridgewater-Raritan 60: William Yarbrough recorded a double-double for Gill St. Bernard's (5-3) with 17 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals. Paul Mulcahy finished with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal. Alex Schachne added 14 points, three rebounds, six assists and one steal. Doug Collins led Bridgewater-Raritan (4-3) with 16 points. Aaron Gao scored 12 points and John Sibiga added 11 points. 

Sayreville 67, Monroe 57: Derek Astarita scored 20 points to lift Sayreville (8-1). Patrick Sekman scored 16 points and Zac Kaczmarek added 15 points. For Monroe (3-5), Luke Patel led with 20 points. Joshua Daniels finished with 13 points. 

West Caldwell Tech 75, Somerset Tech 54: Elijah Bowers scored 16 points for Somerset Tech (3-4).
