Boys Basketball: This week's Courier News Top 10

1. Gill St. Bernard's (4-2): Gill St. Bernard's won its first three games of the season against North Hunterdon, Shawnee and Ridge before losing two in a row to Imhotep Charter (Pa.) and Roselle Catholic. The Knights bounced back with a six-point win over Camden on Monday and will look to keep winning with a game against New York's Our Savior New American on Saturday.

2. Rutgers Prep (3-2): Rutgers Prep also won its first three games of the season, averaging 86 points per game before falling to Ramapo and Pope John. With a balanced (and young) scoring attack in Trey Patterson, Jonah Charles, Richie Greaves, Nahshon Battle and Nate Lyles, the Argonauts will look to get back on track against Hillsborough and Ridge next week. 

3. Union Catholic (5-2): Union Catholic has won five in a row since opening the season with back-to-back losses against Rutgers Prep and Chatham. Averaging almost 72 points per game, the Vikings, who have yet to open division play, will face Westfield on Saturday and Bergen Catholic on Sunday. 

4. Scotch Plains-Fanwood (5-0): Defense has been the name of the game for Scotch Plains-Fanwood, which has held opposing teams to 35 points per game so far this season. Led by Tommy Drubulis (14.6 points per game), the Raiders will look to stay undefeated against Roselle Park on Friday. 

5. Voorhees (4-1): Voorhees opened the season with wins against South Hunterdon, Somerville, Bound Brook and Lawrence before falling to Hopewell Valley by six points on Dec. 28. The Vikings, atop the Skyland Conference Valley Division, will look to bounce back against Mount Olive on Saturday. 

6. Bridgewater-Raritan (3-2): Bridgewater-Raritan started the season 3-0 with wins over Watchung Hills, Hillsborough and Ridge but has dropped the last two games. With their game against Rutgers Prep snowed out on Thursday, the Panthers will look to rebound against Elizabeth on Saturday before meeting Gill St. Bernard's on Tuesday. 

7. Montgomery (5-1): After starting the season 1-1, Montgomery has on won its last four games. Another team with a strong, balanced scoring attack (seven players have scored in double-digits so far), the Cougars will look to keep the win streak alive against Chatham on Sunday and North Hunterdon on Tuesday. 

8. Watchung Hills (4-2): Watchung Hills, which started the season 2-2, has won its last two games by a combined 171-78. The Cougars will look to extend their win streak against and gain ground in the Raritan Division with games against Phillipsburg on Friday and Immaculata next Tuesday. 

9. Ridge (3-2): Ridge opened the season 1-2 against some tough competition, including Hunterdon Central, Gill St. Bernard's and Bridgewater-Raritan. The Red Devils have won their last two games, holding Morristown to only 19 points and beating Elizabeth 76-45. Ridge will host Franklin on Tuesday. 

10. Hunterdon Central (4-2): Hunterdon Central opened the season with a five-point loss to Ridge before reeling off four-straight wins. The Red Devils fell to Hillsborough by one point on Dec. 28, but are atop the Raritan Division at 2-0. They'll look to add to win column with a game against Phillipsburg on Tuesday.
