BOYS BASKETBALL

Sayreville 58, Colonia 56 (OT): Zac Kaczmarek scored the game-tying basket with 20 seconds remaining for Sayreville (3-0), and then scored the game-winner with four seconds left in overtime. He finished with a game-high 21 points. Zaire Jackson recorded 16 points and Jaijuan Macklin added 11 points. For Colonia (0-3), Kristian Chapman and Timothy Carroll each scored 14 points. 

Delaware Valley 65, Somerville 63: Brandon Bernhardt led Delaware Valley (2-1) with 25 points, eight rebounds and one block. Joe Cansfield finished with 19 points, four rebounds, seven assists and seven steals. Brett Godown contributed 10 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Kevin Sokol led Somerville (1-2) with 18 points. Kyree Hinton scored 16 points and Chris Elwood added 12 points. 

Montgomery 54, Phillipsburg 53: Riley Greene scored 16 points to lift Montgomery (2-1). Rohan Prakash contributed 11 points and Kevin Fromelt added 10 points. 

J.P. Stevens 50, South Brunswick 29: Tyrese Conover led J.P. Stevens (1-2) with 18 points. Kasi Hazzard scored 15 points. Devin Strickland and Kimani Daniel each scored eight points for South Brunswick (0-3). 

North Hunterdon 71, Watchung Hills 64: Xander Braun recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for North Hunterdon (2-2). Michael DelSantro scored 12 points and Wes Reinagel added 11 points. Steven Bressler scored a game-high 23 points for Watchung Hills (2-2). Dan Pilsbury chipped in 15 points. 

Linden 56, Orange 42: Sophomore Myles Ruth scored a career-high 25 points and added two rebounds, three steals and one assist as Linden improved to 3-0. Mikey Watkins finished with 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Jaylin Cooper-Reid added 11 rebounds, three points, two assists, two blocks and two steals. 

North Brunswick 69, J.F. Kennedy 55: Jordan Salisbury led North Brunswick (1-0) with 15 points. Avery Claggett scored 14 points. Maneet Batra and Chernoh Barrie each finished with 10 points. Dennis Howard scored 14 points for J.F. Kennedy (0-3). David Silva recorded 13 points. Rohan Chakke chipped in 11 points. 

South River 73, South Plainfield 68: Derrick Whitaker scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to lead South River (2-2) in a comeback victory. Jayvon Taylor scored 15 points and Zachary Rafano finished with 11 points. Davine Mayes added 10 points. For South Plainfield (0-3), Gio Dudley led with 19 points. Jalil Palms scored 16 points and Dondre Tate recorded 12 points. Joe Siegenthaler chipped in 10 points. 

Bridgewater-Raritan 50, Ridge 29: Justin Bryant led Bridgewater-Raritan (3-0) with 14 points. Aaron Gao scored 13 points. For Ridge (1-2), Jeremy McCavera finished with 14 points and Chris Feringa scored 10 points. 

Union 76, Westfield 65: Mark Natiello finished with 16 points for Westfield (0-3). Matt Crowley scored 15 points and Adam McDaniel added 14 points. 

Franklin 48, Hillsborough 42: For Hillsborough (0-3), nine different players scored. Jackson Parham finished with seven points, three rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal. Ryan McCaffery totaled seven points, two rebounds and one assist. 

Woodbridge 66, New Brunswick 38: Curtis Nesbit scored a team-high 17 points to pace Wodobridge (2-0). Kesean Glover finished with 13 points and Kemari Persol added 12 points. Ahyan Brown-Miller led New Brunswick (1-2) with a game-high 23 points. Tahjay Moore scored 10 points. 

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 44, Edison 32: Tommy Drubulis scored 17 points as Scotch Plains-Fanwood improved to 3-0. Lamont Cruse added eight points. For Edison (1-2), Abu Kaikai finished with 12 rebounds, nine points and one assist. Christian Wantong recorded 13 rebounds, three points, two assists and one block. 

St. Joseph 63, Monroe 42: Howard McBurnie led St. Joseph (2-1) with 24 points and six rebounds. Luke Fresco scored 16 points. Fritz Frage recorded 16 points for Monroe (2-1). Sashank Sindhia added 10 points. 

Bernards 51, North Plainfield 41: Alex Kotwick and Owen Loughlin each scored 11 points to lead Bernards (3-0). Kyle Levine added nine points. Tony Godwin scored a game-high 30 points for North Plainfield (1-2). 

Hunterdon Central 77, Immaculata 59: Aidan MacKnight scored 17 points to lead Hunerdon Central (3-1). Jake Krantz finished with 13 points. BJ Honis led Immaculata (0-3) with 17 points and Jared Chambliss scored 15 points. 

Perth Amboy 56, East Brunswick 43: Joshua Cabezudo scored a game-high 27 points to pace Perth Amboy (1-2). Quasim Jackson and Adam Gornowicz, Jr., each scored nine points. Joe Sampson led East Brunswick (1-2) with 17 points. 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

South River 54, Highland Park 25: Tara Beachem finished with 14 points, two steals, one rebound and one block for South River (3-1). Ashley Fischer recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and one steal. Lauren Schmidt added 11 points, two rebounds, three assists and four steals. Sonia Guiste chipped in nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and six steals. For Highland Park (0-4), Aiya Underwood led with 12 points. 

Sayreville 47, Colonia 21: Lyssandra Delacosta led Sayreville (2-0) with 13 points. Jackie Ventricelli scored 12 points. For Colonia (0-2), Caitlyn Hroncich finished with 11 points, five rebounds and one block. Kailee Stanley added six points and six rebounds. 

Woodbridge 43, New Brunswick 34: Kameron De Vogd finished with 16 points, five rebounds, nine blocks and two steals to lead Woodbridge (2-1). Skylar De Vogd totaled 15 points and six rebounds. Aniyah Thomas recorded 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals for New Brunswick (1-2). Nakima Lu contributed 10 points, six steals, four assists and two rebounds. Ciara McFarlane added 10 rebounds, four points, one assist and one steal. 

Bishop Ahr 55, South Plainfield 40: Emma Boslet recorded a double-double for Bishop Ahr (3-0) with 21 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Megan Herka finished with 10 points and four assists. Mackenzie O'Brien led South Plainfield (2-1) with 14 points and Syleen Reyes scored 11 points. 

North Brunswick 68, J.F. Kennedy 28: Kayla Scher and Kelsi Moody each scored 12 points to pace North Brunswick (1-1). Khayla Flemmings finished with 11 points and Emily Farrell scored 10 points. Jaylin Cabrera led J.F. Kennedy (0-3) with eight points, six rebounds and two assists. Olivia Sims recorded six points, seven rebounds and one steal. Rhea Martin chipped in seven points and three rebounds.

South Brunswick 67, J.P. Stevens 44: Alexis Adams recorded a double-double with 19 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and three blocks for South Brunswick (3-0). Onoseta Ufuah finished with 20 points, six rebounds, five assists, one block and four steals. Cassie Vega added 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and five steals. Luese Ufuah chipped in nine points, nine rebounds, six assists and six steals. For J.P. Stevens (1-2), Kiarah Turner scored 17 points. Megan Duffy scored 12 points and Disha Prabhudesai totaled 11 points.
