Waxing the City recently opened its first Central Jersey franchise operation in Princeton’s MarketFair Mall. Owner Yaqoot Ismail is upholding the company’s philosophies that make the waxing establishment a success. The 1,200-square-foot facility offers a full body-waxing experience for men and woman with five rooms for waxing and four licensed and certified cerologists who were sent to Colorado for corporate training. Zoup! will be coming to Franklin Township in the fall, the chain of fast-casual soup concept restaurant recently announced in a news release. Franchisee Clinton Fleming is set to open in the Cedar Grove Centre at 120 Cedar Grove Lane in the Somerset section of the township. Zoup! features 12 rotating soup varieties each day, along with made-to-order salads and sandwiches at more than 90 restaurants in 19 states, as well as in Canada. Info: www.zoup.com
Having recently hired a sales rep in Hunterdon County, the Garibaldi Group recently opened an office 100 Corporate Drive in Lebanon to further its outreach. The office’s three-member team has more than 50 years of combined real estate experience. Garibaldi Group’s nearby dealings include the disposition of Unilever’s 535,000-square-foot warehouse in Flemington and the marketing of Normandy Real Estate Partners 58,000-square-foot office project in Branchburg. The team also will represent Valley View Office Parks for the leasing of 100 & 200 Corporate Drive, two class A office buildings in Lebanon that total about 180,000 square feet. Fast-casual sandwich chain Jersey Mike's has leased 1,100 square feet at Somerville Circle Shopping Center in Raritan, bringing this Somerset County shopping destination to full occupancy. North Plainfield-based Levin Management is exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 150,000-square-foot center. Offering a variety of freshly made hot or cold subs, Jersey Mike’s started in 1956 in Point Pleasant. Today, the franchise has more than 1,500 restaurants open and under development nationwide. “Nation's Restaurant News” named Jersey Mike's as its “Fastest Growing Franchise” in the Top 100 two years in 2014 and 2015. Unitex , a regional healthcare laundry company with locations throughout the Northeast, recently opened its 12th facility with a 67,000-square-foot plant at 301 Pleasant St. in Linden. This will be the fourth facility the company owns and operates in the state. In Central Jersey, Unitex also is in Perth Amboy and New Brunswick. The Linden plant more than 200 jobs to the city, including production workers, mechanics and drivers. The Rutgers Division of Continuing Studies and Lifelong Learning has opened the Rutgers Continuing Education Center at Atrium, an executive training facility for continuing and professional education programs and events. Located at 300 Atrium Drive in the Somerset section of Franklin Township, the new educational facility features a 20,000 square-foot suite, free parking, and on-site food service and catering in a modern facility with high-quality design, glass exteriors and spacious lobbies. The facility also has eight classrooms, a 2,800-square foot banquet room, and private workstations and meeting areas.
