Waxing the City recently opened its first Central Jersey franchise operation in Princeton’s MarketFair Mall.  Owner Yaqoot Ismail is upholding the company’s philosophies that make the waxing establishment a success. The 1,200-square-foot facility offers a full body-waxing experience for men and woman with five rooms for waxing and four licensed and certified cerologists who were sent to Colorado for corporate training.  Waxing the City also has locations in Red Bank, Madison and Montclair. Zoup! will be coming to Franklin Township in the fall, the chain of fast-casual soup concept restaurant recently announced in a news release. Franchisee Clinton Fleming is set to open in the Cedar Grove Centre at 120 Cedar Grove Lane in the Somerset section of the township. Zoup! features 12 rotating soup varieties each day, along with made-to-order salads and sandwiches at more than 90 restaurants in 19 states, as well as in Canada. Fast-casual sandwich chain Jersey Mike's has leased 1,100 square feet at Somerville Circle Shopping Center in Raritan, bringing this Somerset County shopping destination to full occupancy. North Plainfield-based Levin Management is exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 150,000-square-foot center. Offering a variety of freshly made hot or cold subs, Jersey Mike’s started in 1956 in Point Pleasant. Today, the franchise has more than 1,500 restaurants open and under development nationwide. “Nation's Restaurant News” named Jersey Mike's as its “Fastest Growing Franchise” in the Top 100 two years in 2014 and 2015. Unitex, a regional healthcare laundry company with locations throughout the Northeast, recently opened its 12th facility with a 67,000-square-foot plant at 301 Pleasant St. in Linden.

Unitex , a regional healthcare laundry company with locations throughout the Northeast, recently opened its 12th facility with a 67,000-square-foot plant at 301 Pleasant St. in Linden. This will be the fourth facility the company owns and operates in the state. In Central Jersey, Unitex also is in Perth Amboy and New Brunswick. The Linden plant more than 200 jobs to the city, including production workers, mechanics and drivers. The plant’s laundry and linen processing systems are highly advanced, environmentally friendly and can process 1.1 million pounds of linen per week. Info: www.unitex.com
