Yoni Auerbach, East Brunswick, Sr.

The senior helped East Brunswick win its first sectional title since 2007 as the Bears captured the NJSIAA Central Tournament. Auerbach had nine kills in the championship victory over St. Joseph and for the season finished with 160 kills, 70 digs and 34 blocks.

Elan Dorkhman, Old Bridge, Soph.

The sophomore improved on his rookie season and helped key a late run that qualified the young Knights for the Central tournament. For the spring, Dorkhman had 310 kills and 153 digs.

Kyle Duggan, St. Joseph, Sr.

The senior was a key piece in the Falcons' run to a GMC Tournament championship. Duggan, also a talented soccer player, had 335 digs from the libero position.

Dave Goncalves, St. Joseph, Sr.

The Greater Middlesex Conference Boys Volleyball final held on Saturday, May 21, at J.P. Stevens High School in Edison where East Brunswick takes on St. Joseph High School.

The senior setter made his teammates better on the way to a 30-10 season. He finished with 939 assists and 107 digs.

Kyle Loesner, East Brunswick, Jr.

The junior was a vocal leader for the Bears, often giving his teammates a lift with a shout and arm raise after a big play. The middle blocker finished with 144 kills, 91 digs and 38 blocks.

Kyle Mackiewicz, J.P. Stevens,Sr.

The 6-foot-8 Mackiewicz was one of five players in the state to make the American Volleyball Coaches Association's All-America Watch List. Mackiewicz, who has committed to play at Penn State, had 226 kills, 75 digs and 50 blocks.

Connor Mahony, St. Joseph, Sr.

The senior outside hitter had 516 kills, 207 digs and 50 blocks for the Falcons. Mahony will be playing next season at Sacred Heart.

Saagar Mehta, South Brunswick,Sr.

Playing in one of the state’s toughest leagues, the senior made his presence known in the GMC Red Division. He helped the Vikings to a winning record (12-11) and had 211 kills and 101 digs.

Tom Pappas, East Brunswick,​ Sr.

The senior setter’s leadership presence helped the Bears to a 27-7 record. He had 665 assists, 50 digs and 40 kills.
