WHO: Top-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan (17-0) vs. No. 3 Bernards (14-2)

HOW THEY GOT HERE: Bridgewater-Raritan beat No. 8 Watchung Hills in the quarterfinals 22-6 and No. 4 Hillsborough 22-5 in the semifinals. Bernards beat sixth-seeded Mount St. Mary 14-5 and No. 7 Pingry 9-5.

BRIDGEWATER-RARITAN REPORT: The defending champion, Bridgewater-Raritan will be looking for its second-straight SCT title after dethroning Ridge last season. The Panthers are currently undefeated and have faced some of the top competition in the state this season, outscoring opponents 288-94, including 44-11 in their two county games so far. Bridgewater-Raritan has a potent offensive attack, with 10 players who have scored 10 or more goals this season. Ally Mastroianni leads the team with 64 goals and 41 assists, while Kristen Murphy has 40 goals and 16 assists. Hannah Hollingsworth has accumulated 30 goals and 39 assists, Addison Reilly has 31 goals, 13 assists and Tai Jankowski has totaled 30 goals and 13 assists. The Panthers' defense has also been solid, hence the undefeated season and only 94 goals allowed.

BOYS LACROSSE: SOMERSET COUNTY TOURNAMENT FINAL PREVIEW

BERNARDS REPORT: Bernards is making its first appearance in the Somerset County Tournament final in program history, entering on a six-game win streak. The Mountaineers' two losses this season were to Ridge by a goal, and Hunterdon Central by three goals. Paige Petty leads the team with 75 goals and 13 assists, but sat out against Pingry in the semifinals with an ankle injury. She's expected to play today against Bridgewater-Raritan. Tegan Warren has contributed 34 goals and 52 assists, while Elise Cohan (40 goals, 19 assists) and Laurel McHale (30 goals, 15 assists) are also threats on offense. Goalie Charlotte Grimm, a junior who only started playing lacrosse last year, has made 69 saves.

PREDICTION: Bernards will look to make a statement in its first Somerset County Tournament appearance, but Bridgewater-Raritan has the upper hand when it comes to experience. Bridgewater-Raritan 18, Bernards 12.
