GMC Girls Lacrosse Top 5

1. North Brunswick (10-0): The Raiders are still undefeated and the question remains, is there a team that can beat them? North Brunswick has only allowed two opponents to score in double-digits, St. John Vianney (13) and Monroe (11). There are seven games remaining on the regular season schedule, and the Raiders have all but locked up the top spot in the GMC Tournament, which starts May 10. North Brunswick faced Bishop Ahr on Tuesday, and will close out the week against Old Bridge and Montgomery.

2. Monroe (7-5): Monroe is the only team in the GMC that has hung close with North Brunswick this season, falling by three goals, 14-11, on April 19. The Falcons have lost three of their last five games, but will look to bounce back against Steinert and Bishop Ahr this week. North Brunswick and Monroe will meet for a second time this season on May 7.

3. South Brunswick (7-4): The Vikings had a three-game win streak snapped with back-to-back losses to Allentown and Somerville. South Brunswick traveled to GMC rival Old Bridge on Tuesday, and will face J.P. Stevens and Hillsborough this week.

4. Old Bridge (7-5): Old Bridge also had a three-game win streak snapped with losses to Scotch Plains-Fanwood and a one-goal loss to Manalapan on Monday. The Knights have a tough schedule this week, facing South Brunswick on Tuesday and North Brunswick on Thursday.

5. East Brunswick (1-7): East Brunswick's lone GMC win was against Edison, and the Bears have five regular season games remaining against J.P. Stevens, South Plainfield, Monroe, Montgomery and Scotch Plains-Fanwood.
