Girls Lacrosse: North Brunswick earns top seed for GMC Tournament

The Greater Middlesex Conference Girls Lacrosse Tournament was seeded Thursday, and undefeated North Brunswick garnered the No. 1 seed.

The Raiders (16-0), lost to Old Bridge in the final last season by one goal, 15-14. South Brunswick was named the No. 2 seed, Monroe was given the third seed and the defending champion Knights are the fourth seed.

The preliminary round must be played by Monday, while the first round is slated for Tuesday at the site of the higher seed. The semifinals will be held on Thursday, May 12 and the final is slated for Saturday, May 14 at North Brunswick. The girls final will be at 10:30 a.m., followed by the boys final at 1:30 p.m.

9-Bishop Ahr at 8-J.P. Stevens, winner at 1-North Brunswick; 7-Edison at 2-South Brunswick; 6-South Plainfield at 3-Monroe; 5-East Brunswick at 4-Old Bridge
